Il Mandorlo is an ancient stone farmhouse located in the village of Fornelli 5 km from the sea, immersed in a typically Mediterranean landscape made up of hills covered with olive trees, brooms and pines up to the coast between Acciaroli and Punta Licosa. The farmhouse is an artisanal work of refined work. The space NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL!! It is a typical house of ancient Cilento peasant tradition of the nineteenth century made with raw local stone, lime and wood; it has been recovered thanks to the patient search for original materials and local workers, who carry ancient knowledge. The old farmhouse still lives thanks to the transformation of the old spaces (dove and attic, terraces, stables and barns) into a comfortable accommodation where the past also relives through the furniture made from the old wooden beams. The property has a panoramic terrace and is surrounded by a garden garden with attached country oven. Guest access Guests can relax in the garden or on the terrace and enjoy breakfast both outdoors and in the old barn transformed into a dining room. Don't expect the croissant! Our breakfast is prepared with fresh and local products, homemade cakes and jams and the excellent buffalo yogurts and if you happen to be on the right day you can enjoy the bread and pizza with wild herbs cooked in the attached country oven fed with olive charm. Good food is at home in the Almond and when Salvatore is available you can enjoy his dishes prepared with the products offered by the territory including the catch of local paranze.
