Sunny bungalow near city centre.
Sunny bungalow near city centre.
Description
Renovated a few years ago this home has always had visitors coming from all over the world. It is clean, light and sunny, friendly and very comfortable. A 15 minute walk (buses available and the odd lift by car) to the historic city of Canterbury. The space The house has 3 other guest rooms with en suite bathrooms and was refurbished with the idea of having guests so you will get a very warm welcome when you arrive. The house has a beautiful garden and has parking space off road. Many people have come to stay over the years, and contributed to the cosmopolitan feel to this peaceful and unusual home. The house is really quiet and filled with plants. I have a love of nature, and can't resist bringing it into my living space. People tend to come and go and do their own thing, even if the feeling is one of friendliness and there is a homely atmosphere and because I write there is quiet and you can really enjoy down time. Guest access You can use the living room/ kitchen, garden, parking space, and hall way, apart from your own room. There is a solarium in the garden, so you can work outside in good weather, and the garden furniture allows you to eat outside, work, and sunbathe. It is not exclusive to guests so you may find yourself with others including myself. There is a small library and you can borrow books whilst here. During your stay I am mostly around, although often busy with writing, or gardening, or volunteering, but I tend not to go out in the evening as I am too tired! Recently I renovated the front of the house and built an extension there. I have a small kitchen for my own use and am mostly in this part of the house, so any guest can enjoy their freedom more! I am on hand if you need help however and will still use the laundry and water the plants in the large kitchen although I do not use it. Other things to note There are a number of local pubs and I can tell you which ones to go to depending on what kind of ambiance you prefer. I know a few things about Kent and would be happy to guide you to good restaurants and some beautiful places to visit.
