Our approx. 40 sqm apartment for 2 people is located directly on the beautiful Riegsee and within walking distance of the Froschhauser See in Murnau/Froschhausen. There is a private bathing jetty from which you can go directly into the water. It's a good idea to wear water shoes. Or you can explore the lake using our canoe or paddle board. At the house is a small hobby of agriculture - with chickens, a sweet rooster, 3 donkeys, sheep and a cat. Parking is right by the house. The space The apartment is on the 2nd floor and has a continuous balcony that can be accessed from both the kitchen and the bedroom - with beautiful views of the Riegsee and the nearby mountains. The apartment is designed for max. 2 people. A small hallway leads to all 3 rooms. The kitchen-living room, featuring a fully equipped built-in kitchen, a dining area, a cozy couch, and a large Internet-enabled TV, invites you to linger. The bedroom was furnished in 2023 with high-quality oak furniture and a 180 cm double bed. The small bathroom has a daylight window with a shower and toilet. Our house is right on the lake with access to the bathing platform, which is used by several parties. Via the newly built jetty you come directly to the water and can swim a round in the morning after getting up. There is also an entrance for our canoe. Flip-flops would be nice here. You can use our canoe at your own risk at any time free of charge. We also offer you the opportunity to try out our SUP board. You may use our Sup's at Riegsee for free and at your own risk for one day per stay :)) There is of course also the possibility to arrive with your own SUPs and thus to set sail :). Bicycle or Supboards storage facilities are available. We live in a very rural area. The place is called Froschhausen. The Froschhauser swimming lake (Moossee) with its very soft water and 2 sunbathing areas is a 5-minute walk. From the property you can start hiking or cycling directly. The Murnauer Höhenweg and the Alpine foothills offer beautiful hiking and cycling trails. The town of Murnau is about 3 km (1.9 miles) away and, with its colorful pedestrian zone, numerous restaurants, two breweries, and many attractive shops, is a great place to stroll. In about 2.5 km, bakeries and supermarkets can be reached for everyday needs. The rental price does not include the mandatory Murnau city tourist tax of €3.00 per person per night, which is payable at the property upon arrival. You will receive a guest card for Murnau and its surroundings. This gives discounts, e.g. free bus and train use (room Garmisch - Partenkirchen) and discounts in museums, etc. Guest access The 2-room apartment with bathroom is on the 2nd floor. Other things to note In the spring of 2024, our dream became a reality :) In the meadow next to the house, three young lovable donkeys now live in the open stable with an adjoining sandpit. It's so good to just watch them and/or make contact with them
