Shepherds Rest is the perfect holiday accommodation for a large gathering of friends or extended family. A private fenced garden where a outdoor BBQ can be enjoyed. Great place for young children to run around and play. A view to the sea, and only a hop skip and jump to the beach. The space Prices for Children - U16 are $20 per night and U3 are free. Activities Guests at Glenburn have the opportunity of experiencing life on a coastal station. Enjoy quiet, restful relaxation. Walks Walk to Honeycomb rocks via the Honeycomb Rock Walkway. Guided walks are by arrangement and feature panoramic, breathtaking views, native bush including Karaka trees. Duration to suit. Fishing Guests have boat launching access adjacent to Russ’s bach. The Glenburn coastline is regarded as one of the best sea fishing areas in New Zealand. Private ownership of the long coastline has protected the fish stocks. Species caught include: Blue Cod Butterfish King Fish Terakihi Snapper Groper/Hapuka Moke The Coast Variety of landscape from sandy dunes and beaches to rocky outcrops, which are home to crayfish (lobster) and plentiful paua (abalone). Seal Colonies Increasing numbers of seals have colonised the southern shores of Glenburn. Other things to note An additional surcharge of $50 for one night bookings.
