The public bath's (Onsen) water is soft and very good for the skin. It would be a nice, comfortable experience to use a public bath 2 minutes' walk away from the house. We have prepared the ONSEN kits for you, as you need to take your shampoo, soap, and towels there. You can find many sake companies' headquarters and buy their sake at their stores. Recommend that you use bicycles to visit around. ※Let us tell you why we started Airbnb in Kyoto. Our purpose is that you feel fortunate to find this house. Our house is not an imitation. We don't sublease someone's vacant flats to guests, as most Airbnb hosts do. It is our purely traditional Japanese property. We hope you feel this is a truly Japanese wooden house. The house is very accessible to Fushimi-Inari Shrine, considered the most popular heritage site in Japan for many years. What you can use as your transportation is ○5 Bicycles ( equipped at the house and free of charge) ○Bus (2 minutes walk from the house) ○2 Train stations of Keihan railway and Kintetsu railway( 5 minutes by bicycle to the stations) ◯Additionally, 1 subway station is accessible by bike from the house, and it has a large bike parking lot. Once you reach the Train station, it takes only 10 minutes to downtown GION, where a "Geisha" sometimes walks around. It is also recommended to visit Nara (the former capital before Kyoto) and Osaka for a day trip while staying at our house. We, locals, go to Nara & Osaka and come back the same day, too. It does not take 1 hour to reach them from the house. Kobe and Hiroshima are good options for a day trip as well if you have a JR Pass, which is a free pass for bullet trains. The entire house, with many rooms, is your private space, not shared with other guests. The unique point is the authentic Japanese-style house where our family grew up. It is different from a modern Western-style house made of concrete blocks. But if you like to have your own private space and experience a real Japanese wooden house, this house can lead you to real, ordinary Japan. Enjoy the beautiful history & culture of Kyoto! From the nearest train station on the Keihan & Kintetsu railways, it takes 10 minutes to Kyoto Station or Gion-Shijo Station, the busiest shopping area downtown in Kyoto. You can walk to our nearest train station from the house and reach downtown easily. Bicycle parkings are available around the train station as well. There is also a bus stop 2 minutes' walk from the house. The bus directly goes to Kyoto station or Fushimi Inari Shrine, which is the most famous place in Japan, according to TripAdvisor So... for sightseeing the main spots around Kyoto, Osaka & Nara, it is quite useful for transportation! Use the combination of city buses, Keihan railway, and Kintetsu railway effectively. We hope you have beautiful days at this memorial house! Registration Details M260001581
