The space The Bluff at Penneshaw boasts one of the best views in town. Sitting on a promontory at the western edge of Penneshaw you can watch the sun rise over the mainland and see it set over Nepean Bay. It has 200 degree ocean views, and whilst close to the centre of town is located amidst a private bush garden. A variety of native birds visit the garden and Little Penguins can often be heard calling at night. The pine log house is surrounded by decking from which to enjoy the view on summer days. In winter, you can retreat from the elements enjoying the warmth from the pot belly stove whilst enjoying the view through the expansive windows of the main living area. The house is supplied with pure Kangaroo Island rainwater. The Bluff at Penneshaw is a family holiday home. The three bedrooms accommodate 6 people comprising a queen size bed in the main bedroom, a double bed in the second bedroom and a single bed and trundle in the third. TO GET HERE: Very easy to get to! The ferry to Kangaroo Island departs just two hours from Adelaide at Cape Jervis (can be reached by coach or car). The ferry goes direct to Penneshaw and takes approximately 45 minutes. You can take your car on the ferry if you like or you can leave it at the secure car park at Cape Jervis. The Bluff is just a 500m walk from the ferry jetty. Flights to Kangaroo Island leave from Adelaide airport and land at Kingscote airport, approximately 55km from Penneshaw.
