The space Youth Hostel Lugano Savosa Our Hostel is a peaceful oasis, whose infrastructure accommodates everyone’s wishes. The Hostel is surrounded by nature and hosts an outdoor swimming pool (constantly filled by natural spring water), a cosy porch, a pergola and a vast beautiful park with secular trees, where yummy grilling evenings can take place. The building is equipped with numerous inside living spaces, TV rooms, all-purpose recreation rooms, billiard table and much more. Since 1941 the Majek-Wassmann family has been passionately managing the Lugano Youth Hostel, ranked as TOP within the Swiss Hostel Association’s rating system. Located in Savosa, Lugano, the facility lies only 2 km away from the city center and remains easily reachable both through public and private means of transportation. Lugano The city sits on the banks of one of the North’s bays of Ceresio, Lugano’s Lake. Crossroad of several European cultures, Lugano’s region lies at the feet of the Alps mountain chain and is therefore invested by a mild Mediterranean climate and surrounded by scenic peaks. Hikes in nature, sports or plain and simple relax are all activities favoured in this area by the pleasant weather’s conditions throughout most of the year, usually beginning during the spring months of March and April.
