Located in a quiet no through road hidden amongst the worlds oldest rainforest, approximately 20 minutes drive north of the Daintree ferry and 20 min south of Cape Tribulation. Built over two levels with the downstairs area consisting of three bedrooms, two queen rooms with the third having two double bunks. The downstairs bathroom has a large shower and laundry. A tiled side verandah is the place to lay in the hammock. The round stone table is an ideal place to sit around and relax. Upstairs is open plan, the kitchen also features a concrete bench/breakfast bar. The kitchen has views of Thorton Peak, QLD’s fourth highest mountain to the west. The large open plan living area leads out onto the deck with dining table and BBQ. This gives you a stunning view above the rainforest canopy watch the Daintree bird life take flight against the back drop of Mout Emmet and the sunrises over the ocean. Cool sea breezes flow into the home. In the evening watch the stars light up the sky. There is a short walk down to the private creek and swimming hole at the front of the property at the crossing. The home is serviced by the latest solar power technology. “WHERE THE RAINFOREST MEETS THE REEF” No were else in the world can you experience two World Heritage Listed areas together, Daintree National Park and the Great Barrier Reef. The best of both worlds. The breathtaking beauty of the rainforest which has been evolving over the past 135 million years. It is believed we have the oldest rainforest in the world. Take a tour from Cape Tribulation with Ocean Safaris only 20 minute boat ride to the reef were you can experience snorkeling amongst turtles, tropical fish, giant clams and colourful starfish. Experience the tree canopy via Jungle Surfing, night walks and some of the most beautiful untouched beaches you will ever see. Starlink/ Wifi Guest access To the whole house Other things to note Located on a quiet no through road, halfway between Cape Tribulation and the Daintree Ferry (approximately 20 minutes north off the Ferry). This contemporary Home is fully screened, two storey, with a veranda deck overlooking ancient Daintree rainforest, Mount Emmett and ocean views. Upstairs consists of an open plan living/dining area. Kitchen views of Thorton Peak, which is the fourth highest mountain in Queensland at 1374m. There is loads of louver banks which allow the cool breeze from the ocean to flow through the house. There is a bathroom located on each level and downstairs laundry. There are three bedrooms located on the lower floor. Two with queen beds and the third has two double bunks. The upstairs verandah has a dining table and BBQ. On a clear night the stars are easily visible as there is no light pollution. There is a tiled side verandah with three hammocks to relax in. There is a double undercover carport. Beautiful beaches are a short drive away and particularly Thornton Beach were you will have mobile service. If you are looking to eat out “On the Turps” Heritage Lodge and Spa has a great lunch and dinner and in a Rainforest setting. A few minute’s walk from the house is our private creek with pools to cool off in. If you run out of supplies the Daintree Rainforest Station is a corner store with fuel and supplies (ten minutes drive from the house). There is a porta cot available for infants. Power is a stand alone 48 volt solar power system. Water is beautiful Daintree rainwater. There are number of walking trails in the area, I have a folder at the house with these marked in it. Ocean Safari and Jungle Surfing is highly recommended as well as the Daintree Discovery Centre in Cow Bay. Under no circumstances are Electric/Hybrid vehicles are to be charged via the house solar system.
