Pet friendly, with secure enclosure at the back of the house if needed. Beautiful established gardens. Easy wheelchair access. Host close-by for local info and assistance if required. The space You will have the whole Cottage to yourself. Anthea, your host, provides simple, fresh breakfast items - milk, bread, butter, tea and coffee, and comfortable beds with freshly laundered linen. Anthea is most helpful, hospitable and happy to share information with you about the locality and all it has to offer. Her dwelling is on the same property, 100 metres away from the Cottage, giving guests perfect privacy, while being available at all times. Myrtle Cottage is a comfortably sized mud brick cottage on a hill with lots of sunshine. Its earth-built nature creates thermal insulation and fire-resistance, restoring and releasing heat in a chemical-free environment. Anthea has created a retreat with a unique personality. The decor is original and artistic, featuring rich, luxurious colours, and quirky found objects. There is a comfortable open living/dining area, 2 bedrooms with double beds, bathroom, laundry and kitchen. The cottage is suitable for a quiet, relaxing weekend, a family stay or a couples retreat. Pets are welcome inside as well as outside. The village of Candelo is 5 minutes away, with general store, a wonderful café, interesting country pub, petrol station, oval, park and an outdoor heated Olympic swimming pool. Candelo market is on the first Sunday of the month. A casual 30 minute meander through hills and dairy country will get you to Merimbula and Pambula village, which are surrounded by stunning surf beaches, bays, National Parks and the beauties and joys of the Pacific Ocean, including fishing, whale watching, surfing, and quiet waters for the littlies . Merimbula has supermarkets, bars and restaurants and the exquisite Bar Beach, Spencer Park on the lake, Short Point and the vast expanse of surf beach all the way to Pambula - a great walk or bicycle ride at low tide! Pambula has a quaint village atmosphere. There are cafes, pubs, restaurants, gelateria, tea room, boutique, gift shops and Wild Rye's bakery/cafe famous for its pies, breads and roastery. Pambula's surf beach and the sweet Lion's Park dog beach with bbq and picnic area are just down the road. Eden is 15 minutes south of Pambula, with Tathra and Bemagui 30-45 minutes to the north. Other things to note We are dog friendly and happy to accommodate your furry friend at the property. If well behaved, they are free to roam the immediate gardens and yard of the cottage, otherwise we have a small enclosed yard off the master bedroom.
