Glamping at The Tasman Cloud

Our opulent and spacious GLAMPING tent definitely puts the ‘glamorous’ into ‘camping’. The Tasman Cloud is located on a working farm/equestrian facility 30 minutes from Nelson Airport & 15 minutes' drive from Motueka. It’s situated in a fantastic tourist location on the Great Taste Cycle trail not far from Mapua, Kaiteriteri and the beautiful Abel Tasman National Park. View the sunset over the mountains from the warmth of the wood fired hot tub or just chill on either of the private decks. The space This large 'Safari' tent is ideal for two couples sharing or for two people preferring the very roomy space to themselves. It provides a different feel and experience from regular accommodation. The luxury camping, close to nature ambience, allows for a relaxing get away with most of the creature comforts. You’ll be off-grid although you wouldn't know it as Wi-Fi, USB charging, electric blankets and proper bathroom facilities are all part of the package. Privacy is ensured (apart from a possible visit from Maxine the elderly cat) as the farmhouse is out of sight and behind the sheds. The large interior and sheltered decks provide separate relaxation areas and comfortable respite from any unseasonable weather. For those sharing there is a wooden partition wall dividing the primary bedroom area and the large internal lounge which would be set up as the spacious second bedroom with another queen bed. See photos for this configuration and the comfortable sofa/day bed which can be made to a full single bed for a fifth person if required. The large front 'patio'/deck provides ample extra lounge area. The clean spacious kitchenette preparation area is well equipped, including toaster, kettle and coffee making options. However please note that there isn't a normal oven or hob, but a BBQ with rotisserie and side burner is located adjacent to the kitchenette for cooking hot food. The bathroom area has twin vanities, flushing toilet and two large showers; one is fully enclosed and the other is under shelter close to the hot tub. Guest access Guests have sole access to the glamping facility and are welcome to walk the farmland. It is important to note that it is a working farm so guests will need to be mindful of curious cattle, electric fences, farm machinery and watch out as there are holes in the gulleys due to ex-forestry activity. You are welcome to find the friendly horses but do not feed them anything. If you'd like to pet or even groom them, please come and talk to us first :-) Other things to note This glamping set up has many comfortable features, yet note aside from the electric blankets, there is no heating. The tent is well constructed and there is a solid floor so it is not drafty inside. Extra blankets are provided as well to curl up into cosy spaces, but please be mindful the temperature can drop on clear nights and you are advised to bring warm layers for after sunset.
