Tilberthwaite Lodge, White Cross Bay, Windermere

Tilberthwaite Lodge has ramp access and is a short stroll from the shore of Windermere. Situated on the popular White Cross Bay holiday park, in a cul-de-sac location, with parking for 2 cars. There is lake access for water based activities and amenities on site - pool, activities, etc. a one-off fee is payable. An open plan kitchen/ living area, with recliner sofas, plenty of cooking equipment and a dishwasher. There is central heating and a decked outside area with views to distant fells. The space Tilberthwaite Lodge lodge is furnished to a high standard with a well equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable furnishings including recliner sofas in the living area. There is a further dining table and seating outside. Sleeping accommodation comprises a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a second double bedded room and a further twin bedroom. There is a family bathroom, with shower over bath. Bed linen and towels (including tea towels) are provided. Please bring beach towels for use on the garden sofa set and at the lake. The lodge has ramp access so is ideal for those with prams or who struggle with stairs as it is all on one level inside. The shore of Windermere is a short almost level walk where the lake can be used for activities such as canoeing and paddle boarding, so only a short distance to carry your equipment. Change over days are Mondays and Fridays only in high season when 3 night weekends start Fridays, 4 night midweek stays on Mondays. At other times minimum stay is 2 nights, if unsure please send an enquiry before booking. Guest access The lodge and decked area are entirely for sole use of guests. Other things to note Please remember the Lake District is a rural area. The holiday park can be reached by public transport however to explore the area fully a car is strongly advised. This will also make any trips for shopping easier as the shop on site is quite small with limited stock. The nearest railway station is Windermere and there are buses north (to Ambleside, Grasmere and beyond) and south (to Windermere, Bowness and Kendal)from the main road by the park entrance. There are many shops and restaurants in the towns above and they're only a short drive away.
