Wye River beach shack hideaway in the tree tops

Wye River Beach Shack is a 2-bedroom 1950s beach house in the treetops with wildlife & ocean views, perfectly suited for a couple, two couples or a family. A short walk down to the surf beach, cafe/general store and pub situated on the Great Ocean Road. NOTE-there is separate access to the second bedroom downstairs and it is on its own key code. If you do not need second bedroom there is no additional charge. When booking both bedrooms for 2 people there is a $50 extra cleaning and linen charge The space Wye River beach shack is an original 50’s beach house with an interior that has a contemporary Australian feel. The house includes two bedrooms. One large bedroom with queen bed opening out to the full deck and views of the bush and ocean. There is no door to the bedroom as per photos The second bedroom is newly renovated and has a Queen bed and is downstairs with an EXTERNAL ENTRANCE ONLY. When booking please make it clear that you require the 2nd bedroom as it has its own keybox. Extra charges for use of bedroom Also has a bathroom with toilet and vanity and a large deck to relax. Split system also for heating and cooling Being an open plan space, it is perfect for couples and small families. All linen and towels are supplied. A fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. Tea, coffee and sugar is provided and we also have a small coffee machine for the coffee lovers to enjoy with freshly grounded coffee. Wye River beach shack is just a 5 minute walk to the surf beach, cafe/ general store and local pub. It is a 10 minute walk home. There is an abundance of wildlife that visit regularly on the deck. King Parrots, Cockatoo's, Kookaburra's and Koalas in the surrounding gum trees. We provide a cup of wild bird seed on the kitchen bench for guest use to enjoy this unique experience. There is another deck at the rear of the property which over looks the ranges. Great spot to relax in late arvo while the sun is going down Also mid year ( May - October) you might view whales passing by! A create of Fire wood is provided from the 1st of April through to the end of October The general store has wood for sale or you can bring your own Guest access Access is via a key box located at the property. Code will be sent prior to arrival. As we use Wye River beach shack for ourselves and our family, we provide a Bose sound speaker with audio cable to stream through your phone. There is also a 41 inch TV with great reception, blue ray DVD player, out door BBQ, and outdoor table to enjoy the outdoor surroundings. Also new split system for heating and cooling and a wood fire for the cooler nights There is room for two cars - for off street parking. Access to second bedroom when more then 2 people book by request If 2nd bedroom is used with only 2 people there will be an extra $50 charge for cleaning & linen. Other things to note We are on tank water, so please be respectful with water use. We have a booklet of information in the bottom kitchen drawer which may be useful to flick through after settling in, including local maps and bush walking guides etc. Check in and out can be flexible depending on bookings before and after, just give us plenty of notice. Fire wood is provided from the 1st of April through to the end of October. The general store has wood for sale or you bring your own.
