Upstairs on Thesen Island

Upstairs on Thesen Island is well equipped for load shedding / power cuts. It offers a graceful home away from home with a view over the water to the knysna heads. Two luxurious bedrooms with one bathroom. There is an additional bath and basin within the main bedroom. It is situated on the water with private jetty and kayaks are available to use. The space The apartment is situated on the edge of Thesen Island, making it a 2 min walk to Thesen Harbour town which is accessed via a secure gate. The Island is secure and peaceful. it is a place to enjoy birds, sports and relaxing on the beach. The two bedrooms are dressed in fine white cotton and down. The bathroom is positioned on the landing between the two bedrooms and comprises of a shower, basin and toilet. In addtion thereto, the main bedroom has within it, a free standing bath and a basin. Accordingly there are two private spaces for bathing and showering but there is only one toilet, which is situated in the bathroom. Airbnb doesn’t have a way to list this bathroom configuration so I have used the 1,5 bathroom choice. The living area comprises an open plan lounge and kitchen and a generous patio with built in barbeque, which overlooks the canals for evenings with perfect sunsets and views. There is WIFI and DSTV with the full bouquet of channels. The kitchen is fitted in superior style and includes a nespresso coffee machine. There is a private jetty directly outside the apartment and and kayaks are available at no additional cost, so that you can explore and enjoy the island from the water as well as from the apartment itself. The island on which the apartment is located a secure haven, packed with activities. Tennis courts (rackets provided), squash courts, walking paths, canals, outdoor gym, putting green (a few clubs provided), small beach (umbrella, beach towels and picnic bag provided) and a bird hide, to name a few. A short stroll over a bridge will bring you to Thesen Harbour Town which is home to fabulous restaurants, world class bakery, coffee shops and shopping. The Knysna Waterfront is a 15 min walk away. Excursions and activities can be booked and taken from both the Waterfront and from Thesen Harbour Town. Guest access The island is accessed by way of biometrics. Guests will receive a link to their telephone so that they can upload their details prior to arrival. Guests who have stayed on the island previously can be pre approved for self check in.
