Description
This cottage is one of the earliest buildings on the east coast of Tasmania, being built in around 1832. Recently restored, The Surveyors Cottage has an instant appeal with its high ceilings and beautiful light from the Georgian windows. The open fire is the star attraction - so warm and welcoming. An intimate space for two people, within easy walking distance of most local eateries & shops. Unlimited wifi if the fire isn’t enough to keep you happy. The space The cottage is decorated with antique furniture befitting its time frame, a very comfy sofa and television, but also free WIFI. The bed is super comfy, we use quality pure cotton linens, wool quilts & pillows, and of course an electric blanket. There is a wall heater in the bedroom for your sleeping comfort. The new ensuite is open plan beside the bedroom - please check the photos - if you like privacy in the bathroom this may not be the space for you! A fridge, microwave, sandwich press and toaster are provided together with a selection of loose leaf teas, and of course a china teapot. Please enjoy a complimentary gin & tonic on arrival, a selection of condiments, milk and a few snacks also provided. The main room of the cottage has a gorgeous wood fire (and a wall heater). We supply kindling and fire lighters, plus a basket of wood in the entry. Also on this property is our other Airbnb ‘Miss Moyes’ - great if you are two couples travelling together. Guest access The cottage has a lockable shed if you wish to store bikes etc safely while you are staying. There is a retractable hose near your parking spots if you need to wash down your bikes or car. The property has a gate which can be closed in the evening if desired. Registration Details DA 107-19
