A quiet stopover spot for travelers or those working or visiting the area. Great for Hampton Downs. Safe parking and turning for cars and trailers. The unit is self-contained, quiet and private yet close to the Waikato Expressway, 7 mins from Hampton Downs, 30 -40 mins to Hamilton & Thames and less than 1 hour to Auckland airport off peak. Continental breakfast supplies are included for you to use if you wish. Microwave, toaster, frig and electric jug The space The bedsit is a compact one room self-contained bedsit with kitchenette and ensuite bathroom, separate from our house. There is ample room to turn and safely park cars and trailers for those visiting Hampton Downs. The kitchenette has a sink and bench and contains a microwave, small frig, toaster and electric jug. Continental breakfast ingredients are supplied. Inside the unit you will find a sofa and a small table and chairs plus another set of table and chairs on your patio. The bed is a comfortable queen bed with nice linen. You are free to wander around the garden or use our outdoor swimming pool when the weather is right. Please note we have fibre Wi-Fi in our house and a Wi-Fi extender services the unit. Reception is not always perfect. We share our place with an Alpaca (Diego) one sheep and five hens who lay lovely eggs. If the hens are laying you may get fresh farm eggs for breakfast. The unit is ideal for anyone working in or visiting Te Kauwhata who needs a quiet and safe spot to stay overnight or longer, also a great stopover spot for travelers arriving at or leaving from, Auckland airport. Guest access Our large garden and pool are available to guests to enjoy. In the summer you are welcome to swim in our small inground pool, wander around our large garden or go for a walk in the countryside. The beautiful Waikare golf course is close by and welcomes green fee players. Hampton Downs is about 7 mins away and if the wind is in the right direction we can hear the racing sometimes. Other things to note Sometimes you can hear the trains passing by in the night about 1 km away or racing from Hampton Downs during the day. WIFI reception is not always perfect and 2 degrees is better than Spark.
