Located just 5 minutes away by tuktuk from the famous Lion Rock, our home is a great alternative if you want to escape the mass tourism trap and enjoy the local way of life in a traditional Sigiriyan village house. Here you can taste the flavors of the local cuisine as we offer home made organic meals freshly prepared on request. It is also an ideal base camp from where you can easily explore the cultural heritage sites within the famous triangle of Kandy, Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa. Although still traditional, our rooms offer you a comfy king size double bed where you will sleep like a baby and all the privacy you might need due to the separate entrance and the private bathroom. And if you want to relax outside, the veranda, the hammock in the garden and the lake behind the house are the perfect places to hang out. Besides your room - of course - you are most welcome to spend your time in our living room, on the veranda and the garden. And if you want to have a chat, we will happily oblige :) Sigiriya is famous for its palace ruins on top of a massive 200 meter high rock surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs and other structures. The village itself is a tranquil, typical Srilankan community. We can offer transportation on demand to any place on the island and day trips to all the sites. Transfer from Colombo is also available on request. Scooter rental is also available. Please note that due to elephant traffic during the night walking and driving might be dangerous.
