Cottage 4 Padymelon offers a spacious open plan living area with lounge, dining, kitchen, small bathroom, full laundry with washer and dryer. Padymelon cottage has one bedroom with Queen bed as well as a single bunk bed. Kitchen is stocked with all essential item and equipped with a bar fridge and electric stove. Our Padymelon cottage has an undercover back decking with a bbq, it is close to the camping paddock and facilities which gets busy during the months December through to April. The space Padymelon cottage has an undercover balcony with a bbq. This cottage is not as close to the rivers edge as the other cottages and is situated closer to the camping facilities. Please note December to April the camp area can be very popular, and your balcony will be river view as well being able to see some campers in the paddock area sharing in the enjoyment of this piece of paradise. You are welcome to stroll over all areas of the property and use all facilities. We have a few residents you can try to spot such as the platypus who plays in the river, the echidna who wonders around welcoming guests, Sea eagles flying above and of course the many possums, Padymelons (small type of kangaroo), bandicoots and the occasional Quoll. Please note none of these animals with hurt you if you just leave them be. During hotter weather please be mindful of snakes although very rare to see them they are. The waterfalls being Russell falls, Horseshoe falls and Lady Baron falls are a short walking distance from your cottage. A worthwhile nighttime walk to Russell Falls to view the magnificence of the waterfall under moonlight as well as view the glow worms. Our Russell Falls Tasty Traveler food van is there for your convenience and is available for your online orders seven days a week 7.30am to 7.30pm. You can even request delivery to your cottage! During peak times the service window does open for short periods breakfast, lunch and dinner 730am to 930am – 1230pm to 230pm- 430pm to 730pm. Again, even if service window is shut meals are still available to be ordered online. Russell Falls Nature tours is another convenient service we offer to our guests to book one of our planned tours to visit unforgettable magical places this region has to offer such as the Styx land of the giants where the road is better driven by our local driver in our 4WD. Also, the 60-minute drive to Strathgordon dam is better to view the amazing sights of the journey in our luxury Landcruiser enjoying short stops on the way of key areas. Wanting to walk lake Dobson in the snow but no road access, we can take you there. Our luxury Landcruiser and driver service is available to be booked for any journey anytime, a shopping trip, dining experience or just a day trip to a place on your bucket list. We are doing what we can to offer our guests the full package for a perfect holiday experience. Please note ONE DAY IS NOT LONG ENOUGH to see what this area has to offer, so if you can book two or three days minimum you will be thankful for this choice. Guest access Cottages are located on a large property with two sides being the Tyenna river. Guests can walk over entire property and enjoy the open grassed area great for family fun, enjoy the River and the small beach area at the back of property. Self-check in is welcomed. You will receive a notification the day of your booking with your cottage name and key code. We do appreciate you to provide us with an estimated arrival time so we can make sure your cottage is ready for you to walk in and feel at home by turning on heaters or lights if required. Online food orders are available to be delivered to your cottage. Driver service and tours are available Other things to note Cottage accommodation, camping pods, powered and unpowered campsites, plus the Tasty Traveler food van with online ordering, as well as tours and driver services. A short walk to Russell Falls Waterfall makes for a great nighttime adventure to see the glow worms.
