Bussells Bushland Cottages - Couples Cottage

Bussells Bushland Cottages is a 20 hectare "Land for Wildlife" property. Our 8 rammed-earth cottages are set apart in order to preserve privacy. Walk trails criss-cross the bush block which has wonderful stands of old-growth trees, as well as being home to a wide variety of bird life and mobs of kangaroos. The quoted room rate for 1 or 2 persons is based on occupancy of 1 bedroom. If, for any reason, guests require to use the 2nd bedroom, an extra bed charge will be levied at $40 per person. The space Our 8 rammed-earth cottages are self-contained with full kitchen, dining and living facilities, an outdoor BBQ, and wood-fired pot belly stove in the living room. The Couples Cottage has a queen-sized bed in each bedroom. Please note, our rates are based on 2 guests sharing the one bedroom so the second room will be locked. Access to the second bedroom will incur extra charges. There are doonas and spare blankets to keep you warm on chilly winter nights. Porta-cots and Highchairs are available for hire at an additional cost. The cottage has a well-appointed bathroom which houses a toilet, shower and vanity (with soap, shampoo and conditioner provided) and an open plan living/dining room with fully-equipped kitchen. The dining room will accommodate 4 persons, and the living room has comfortable sofas, a coffee table, reading light, flat-screen TV with Chrome cast and a wood-fired pot belly stove to keep you warm as toast. The living area also has reverse cycle air conditioning and ceiling fans. Guest access Bussells Bushland Cottages is located in the South West of Western Australia, 5kms north-west of Margaret River township. Travelling south along Bussell Highway and just before entering Margaret River township, turn right into Carters Road and proceed for around 4kms, then (on the left hand side) enter the property’s 600 metre (tree-lined) driveway. Arriving guests can collect their key from the notice board at the manager's office door and proceed to the cottage number as shown. Other things to note Signposted trails criss-cross the property and early morning walks will enable you to commune with the birds and kangaroos which call this property “home.” A 1.3km stroll around the perimeter will introduce you to pastoral scenery and valley views. We invite you to share this totally natural Australian experience. The birdsong in the early morning can be quite strong as our gorgeous splendid fairy wrens skitter around looking for breakfast. And don't be surprised to find kangaroos at your door!
