Art Deco Hackney haven
Art Deco Hackney haven
Description
The unique Strand Building offers a private, safe, haven with award winning rooftop garden with lovely water feature. The flat has floor to ceiling warehouse style windows so is bright and airy. The space I have a lovely two bed flat with space for three guests (one single bed and one king sized bed) in an Art Deco 1920s building in trendy Hackney, north-east inner London (zone 2). The closest station is Hackney Central (Overground), which is less than 10 minutes' walk away from the flat. Hackney Central is 6 minutes via Overground from Highbury & Islington station which is just one stop from Kings Cross. Look the post code up (E9 6DW), you'll see how central it is and how close by other great areas are such as Islington, Dalston, Stoke Newington, Bethnal Green, Shoreditch and Islington. There is an award winning rooftop communal garden which makes the city seem far away, the feeling enhanced by the building's Miami-inspired colours. The single bedroom and the open plan kitchen dining room sitting room space have floor to ceiling double glazed sash windows and vintage exposed glazed tiling and are bright with lots of character. The double bedroom also has large bright windows. And while the building is in a central, bustling area, you enter the locked gates and feel you could be anywhere, it is so peaceful. I love that the building is so unique and beautiful. Guest access Guests have the flat to themselves: two bedrooms, open plan living room (kitchen / dining room / lounge), bathroom. Guests can also use the building's communal garden. I'll provide you with: - a set of keys - towels - bedding including pillows, duvet and extra blankets if you need them - Wi-Fi internet - use of kitchen including fridge/freezer - use of washing machine - use of an iron and ironing board Other things to note Please note there are quite a few steps up to the property and no lift so it is unsuitable for those with wheelchairs.
