Solo travellers, creative space, vegan friendly

A neat and comfortable single room in a home with lots of colour, art and unique furniture. Your private room is north-facing so it's nice and light. A lovely view of Table Mountain in the distance, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, a gym and the MyCiti bus route, and a short drive to the many beaches in Bloubergstrand (going against traffic). The house is peaceful - perfect if you're looking to rest & rejuvenate, or use as a place to sleep after a day of sightseeing or surfing. The space It's modern with a double volume living area, a library and a kitchen (with a breakfast nook) - all open-plan. The laundry has a washer and a dryer. There is wooden flooring and white plantation shutters throughout the house. The living area and bedrooms have a lot of natural light as they are all north-facing. Guest access You have full access to these shared spaces as listed - bathroom, kitchen, laundry, patio. The kitchen may be used to make light meals, tea/coffee and to warm up ready-made meals in the microwave. No eggs, seafood, meat or chicken may be cooked or kept in the fridge/freezer (I am vegan). I don't mind dairy items (milk, cheese, yoghurt) being kept in the fridge and non-vegan takeaways being brought home (I am not preachy like that). I work in the main living area a lot of the time so access is limited. During your stay I am available to answer any questions or provide tips on Cape Town. You are welcome to join us for dinner any night that we are cooking. I have cats and rabbits but they keep pretty much to themselves (a lot like me) unless of course you'd like to make a fuss of them (they like that too). Other things to note Your bathroom has a bath with a handshower. Please use the handshower to shower rather than fill up the bath (Cape Town is only just coming out of a drought so we're mindful of how we use water). Your private room is next to the other bedrooms in the house. So please keep this in mind if you are a snorer (we like our sleep too). I am a rather private person. No visitors allowed during your stay. There is uncapped uninterrupted fibre for all your work and leisure needs. Universal chargers are available for use in your private room. Complimentary tea and coffee. Complimentary MyCiti bus card for use during your stay. Please top it up before you leave for the next guest to use. The cleaning fee that is charged is to clean the space before and after your stay. Please help keep shared spaces clean during your stay (bathroom and kitchen). Breakage and/or damages will be charged for via an Airbnb payment request (to replace the item(s) and/or repair the damage). Any dispute regarding this will be referred to the Airbnb Resolution Centre. Please upload a profile pic, government ID, email address and contact number to your profile if you are new to Airbnb (and especially if you have no reviews) before sending me a booking request. It's always nice to know a little about your guest especially as we'll be sharing space.
