Sea Container Tiny House – Forest, Dogs & Thialf

Our cozy tiny house made from shipping containers is fully private and sustainably built, located next to the forest. You’ll stay in a calm, green setting in the heart of Oranjewoud, a lovely place to relax and unwind. The tiny house is compact and designed for peace, simplicity and mindful small living. Close to Thialf, Sportstad and local shops, yet surrounded by nature. A pleasant base for those who enjoy slowing down and spending time outdoors. The space Indoor space Our tiny house made from shipping containers is compact, cozy and completely private. Bedroom: two beds that can be pushed together. Living area: a comfortable seating area with a sofa bed. Bathroom: shower, sink and toilet. Kitchen: equipped with a cooktop, refrigerator, oven/microwave, coffee maker and all essential kitchen utensils, so you can easily prepare your own meals. Additional amenities such as a washing machine, dryer, towels and bed linen are provided. As this is a compact and sustainable stay, you may occasionally hear light background sounds, such as ventilation, the toilet system or everyday sounds from the surroundings, including, now and then, an early-rising rooster. Outdoor space A private terrace with seating and a green garden with bamboo for extra privacy. A lovely spot to sit outside, read a book or simply enjoy the calm surroundings. Pets are welcome. Location and surroundings Located in a quiet, green residential area on the edge of the forest in Oranjewoud. Thialf and Sportstad are within walking distance, and shops and a bakery are nearby. Parking is available on the street. A place where living, nature and amenities come together. Atmosphere and unique features A sustainably built tiny house in a shipping container, with a warm and simple interior. Suitable for couples, small groups and guests traveling with their dog. A special place for those who appreciate peace, nature and a slower pace. Guest access Arriving by car? No worries! Parking is free on the street, and we usually have space available on our driveway for your convenience. Other things to note Children are very welcome! Upon request, we are happy to provide one baby cot. Other child-specific amenities are not standard, but guests are welcome to bring their own items. There is a small canal located behind the property. For the safety of our youngest guests, we kindly ask parents to keep this in mind and supervise children accordingly. Finally, we kindly ask guests to pay the local tourist tax on site to the municipality of Heerenveen. The tax is €2.45 per person, per night.
