Our limestone washhouse was built by convicts and has been transformed into a charming cottage with fine cotton sheets, fully functional kitchen, air conditioning and Internet. Guest access There is a private pathway and gate (with security coded lock) to the cottage. Guests have access to a courtyard and a fish pond. There is street parking available. Other things to note The house and cottage were built in 1893 by one of the wardens of Fremantle prison. It was built from the local limestone in a style unique to the Fremantle area. The garden contains a 14 meter well hand cut through limestone by convict labour that is still in use today.
