Our place, 27 Ah Peng, is a vintage 2-bedroom property in the heart of durian country. It's within walking distance of Bentong's best food, and the dazzling Chamang waterfall and fruit orchards are only a few minutes drive away. Meet our friendly neighbours and rediscover old world trades amidst old shops, barbers & even a printing press. A block from the lively Bentong Walk night & morning markets, 27 is great for couples & family adventures - or you can just curl up on the sofa with a book :) The space Dating back to 1934, our vintage 1600 sqf loft is a retro escape located above an old bookshop on one of Bentong's historical main streets. Bentong is a charming old tin mining town in Pahang, and is just an hour's drive by highway from Kuala Lumpur. It's easy to drive from the city, but there are also many buses bound for Bentong from KL's Pekeliling bus station. Hong Kong classic film-inspired and with 1500 sqf to relax in, our place features two bedrooms and a large living & dining area. There's also extra bedding in the form of two single mattresses. Just 100 meters away from Bentong Walk, cafes, restaurants, shops and the town market, you’ll be within walking distance of the town’s best food & places to explore. Guest access There is ample parking along the street our unit is on. Guests can also park in the backlane behind our unit. However, if you are parking on the main street, you will need to buy scratch & display coupons which are available at the bookstore directly below us. By the way, we have a long staircase leading up to our unit, older folks & children may need a helping hand when entering. Other things to note There can be some noise from the street as we are located on the main road - especially in the day time, so we appreciate your understanding :) There is also a flight of stairs leading from street level up to our unit. As our property is an old one, certain sections of the floorboards can feel a bit sandy despite being swept, vaccumed & mopped after every checkout. Rest assured that we are particular about cleanliness. We have air-conditioning and three ceiling fans to cool the hall and dining area, but this space can get a little warm on hot days. Lastly, our wifi is Digi Infinite with an unlimited quota and works fairly well with most devices. However, speeds may vary.
