The Retreat

Welcome to the City of Joy. If you are looking for a warm and homely space to stay here you are looking at the right place. Our apartment is located in Shyambazaar. It is very near to the Shyambazar five point crossing. This is in the heart of historical Kolkata, from where the city’s long journey can be traced. The space The room is a separate part of the apartment with easy access to the main door. It opens to the verandah overlooking our back court yard. It is airy and generally filled with natural light. The bed will accommodate one adult comfortably, in case of urgent requirement two person can be accommodated. A dressing table and an almirah for wardrobe is provided. Hot and cold drinking water would be provided on request/mineral water is also available after payment of actual cost. Provisions for making tea or coffee including the cooking gas along with Tea / Coffee, Milk, Sugar Sachets would also be available. The cups and plates used by the guest has to be washed by the guest him/herself. Free Wi-Fi will be available. Umbrellas would be provided on request. Electronic washing machine is also available which should be operated by the guest himself and a iron will be provided on request. Adequate bed sheets, bed cover, pillow covers and blanket will be provided which should be changed as when required by the guest himself. Guest access The verandah in the back portion, as well as our roof terrace overlooking our backyard. The verandah in the back portion will be available for sun drying clothes. During your stay Guests are most welcome to seek us out on any necessary matter. We would be available 24X7. We as a family would like to get to know those who visit us and the beautiful places they come from. Thus if anyone is interested to extend one’s experience of a homestay into more than just renting a room but rather use the opportunity to live with a local family, learn more about the local culture and experience the warmth of our family, they are most welcome. But if you are a private person then your privacy would surely be respected.
