Description
Sea Glass Cottage is a beachfront holiday home with views over the dunes to the Solway Firth and Scotland beyond. Our guests tell us that the sunset views from the conservatory are breathtaking. The cottage has been tastefully updated and decorated by the owners with all amenities for modern living but retaining a quirky, seaside charm. Sleeps 5 plus a baby, no smoking, WiFi, dog-friendly. We charge £25 per dog. The space Enter this beach front cottage through the full width conservatory, with double sliding doors which open right out to let the fresh sea air in but close again to keep the breezes at bay. This is the room where most guests spend their time, watching the world go by and admiring the amazing sunsets. Beyond the conservatory there is a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge/diner with log burning stove. At the rear of the house there is a vestibule and loo, and a back door - the best way to enter the cottage with dogs or muddy feet. Upstairs are three bedrooms, one with a 3/4 double bed and one with a single. Both these rooms have beach views. At the back of the house is a further king size double bedroom which can convert to a twin if required, and a family bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. Guest access This cottage is a great place for a romantic break - walk hand in hand on the beach and then come back to light the log-burner. Equally good for families, kids will enjoy the play park round the corner, beach-combing and kite-flying. One dog is welcome by arrangement, you will be charged an additional fee when you book. One further dog may be allowed, but this will incur an additional charge, payable during your stay. Please message us for details. Sorry, we do not allow cats. The unspoilt, wide-open and often deserted beach is a great place for bird-watchers, photographers and artists to walk and work. Several writers have found inspiration while staying at the cottage. Other things to note This is our personal holiday home. We welcome guests who will enjoy and respect this special place. You may let us know that you will be bringing a dog when you book. A fee will be added. We may allow a second dog for a further fee, payable during your stay. Please message us. We do expect guests to make a reasonable effort to clear up pet residue like hair, nose-smear and paw prints. Bring your own throws to protect the furniture and dog towels for after the beach. No dogs upstairs though, please, which includes using the bath or shower to wash them. Sorry, we do not accept cats.
