A bright, charming and spacious 4 bedroom (with queen size beds), 4 bathroom apartment, large living room, kitchen and a terrace with a view of Mt Vesuvius & the bay of Naples. The apartment can accommodate 8 people, including children. It's located in the center of Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi, a friendly and picturesque village in the heart of the Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast. The space The apartment is on the 2nd floor of Casa Laura, a recently renovated manor house dating back to 1700, located in the village center. It is 150mq (1600sf) in size, and has 4 double rooms each with a queen size bed and private bathroom, all decorated with good taste and modern comforts. There is a living room, a kitchen equipped with everything that’s needed to cook your own meals, and a 25mq (270sf) terrace with a view of the gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. The apartment is equipped with A/C, wifi, washing machine, dish-washer, and private parking. There are about 30 stairs to enter the apartment (no lift). The house has a courtyard always adorned with beautiful flowers that Laura cares for with love. And there is also a large terrace of about 50mq (540sf), partly covered by a pergola, furnished with a table and chairs, that can be used by the guests upon request and authorization by Laura. The first floor of the house is the personal residence of the owners who are always available to assist during your stay. On the courtyard, there is a 50 mq (600sf) apartment also available for rent. Laura was a pupil of Gualtiero Marchesi, the first Italian Chef to achieve the prestigious three Michelin star. Following this experience, she opened her own Cooking School and catering service. She spent one year at Cornell University to study English which allows her to teach her classes to foreign tourists. Laura, together with her daughter Valeria, is available for cooking class with Italian and local dishes, such as pizza, hand-made pasta, fish and bread, and desserts, and to prepare a dinner on the terrace or dining room. The cooking class is a mix of hands-on and demonstration in her traditional, well-equipped home kitchen, with lunch or dinner served after the class in her elegantly appointed dining room. Laura is available to help organize transfers to and from the airport or train station, local excursions, such as a boat tour of the Amalfi Coast and Capri, a visit with driver of the Vesuvio and Pompeii ruins, or a local limoncello and mozzarella factory. NOTE: Any transfer or tour booked can be cancelled with up to 3 days (72 hours) notice with NO penalty. With less than 72 hours notice, the cost MUST BE PAID IN FULL. Guest access Parking is available for two cars. For additional cars, there is a municipal toll parking about 100 meters by foot. The parking can be paid for with the apps easypark or moneygo. There are about 30 stairs to enter the apartment (no lift). Casa Laura is located in the center of Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi, a small and picturesque village on the hills above Sorrento e Positano, overlooking the gulf of Naples and the gulf of Salerno (hence its name). There are various lovely restaurants with typical local cuisine, and many other stores for all needs (ice cream, bars and pubs, fruits and vegetables, bread, fish and meat, wine, supermarket). Prices are reasonable, much lower than Sorrento, Capri or Positano. Located approx. 400 meters above sea level, Sant'Agata has a cool summer climate, perfect to rest after a day at the beach or excursion nearby. It is easily reachable by car, bus or train, and its location is a perfect starting point to visit the many beautiful towns and areas nearby. Casa Laura is located approx. 50 meters from the bus stop for Sorrento, which takes 25 minutes (15 minutes by car), and there is a bus approximately every hour. From Sorrento, it's possible to go to Pompeii and Naples via train, or take a boat to Capri, Ischia, Naples, Positano and Amalfi. A bus from Sorrento goes to the Naples airport with frequent pick-ups. At 300 meters from Casa Laura, there is also a bus for the Amalfi Coast which stops in Positano, Praiano, Conca dei Marini (Smeraldo grotto) and Amalfi. Other things to note From 1 April to 31 October the Municipal Council of Massa Lubrense has instituted a mandatory tourist tax of €3 for every adult (18+) per day on all temporary residents for a max of 7 days.
