Stokes Bay Cliffs Kangaroo Island

Listed price is for the Main house 4 Guests (King and two singles). Guesthouse (additional 4 Guests (Queen and bunk, bath/half kitchen) is extra. Stokes Bay, Kangaroo Island ranked #1 Beach in Australia (2023 - official Australian Tourism) and 2nd best beach in the world. This large, remote property is 4-minutes from Stokes Bay with 800m of private coastal frontage, beautiful ocean views, walking trials, and abundant Kangaroos, wallabies, birds, etc. 4WD recommended - not critical The space The place offers complete privacy, while providing you with a centralized base from which to take in the many attractions across the island while being an attraction in itself. The main house accommodates 4 Guests (2 couples or one couple and 2 kids) with 2 bedrooms. The Guesthouse (additional cost) accommodates an additional 4 Guests (semi-open plan). There is another cabin for overflow, but no "parties" or crowds allowed. The main house has 2 bathrooms, open lounge, dining, laundry cupboard, kitchen and a large deck with an outdoor sunken lounge and open fire pit (forbidden in summer, check government policy). Guesthouse (only feet away) has bathroom, queen bed, a king single bunk bed (for two), half kitchen and a skylight for watching stars in bed. Air conditioning/heating. The guesthouse is blocked off if you book the main and don't require it. TVs in each main house room. Reverse cycle air conditioning/heating and indoor fireplace in main house. WIFI . Gas BBQ. Shower with views of the shrub. The “track” to the property is unpaved and can be bumpy in a couple of parts. A sedan is fine if you drive slow, but 4WD is better. Guest access Guests have access to the entire place but should avoid the storage shed out the back for general safety reasons. The paddles in or beside the house are for the watercraft sitting out the front at the rocky cove (a nice 5 minute walk through natural Sheoak forestation or wider 4WD path). You are welcome to use the watercraft, fishing gear, etc. but do so at your own risk (See liability waiver in Other Details to Note). Ocean experience required. If you have a 4WD you can drive down the wide path to the front. Before you drive off the cliff you'll see a turn to the left. Take that to an opening on the right with steps down. Only use watercraft on light or calm days. Watch the swell also as the coast can sometimes boast waves. Other things to note Nothing is perfect on KI. It's rural and remote. And that goes for Stokes Bay Cliffs. It is a house and a home first. Not a resort or corporation. Please forgive minor details that are out of our control (black-outs, etc.) We ask that you read and, by booking a stay, you accept this liability waiver for you and your guests. Stokes Bay Cliffs is not inherently a dangerous place but it is remote with unmanaged natural forest/shrub/bushland. There is no hospital or police station right around the corner. We ask that you and your guests use common sense that comes from being away from it all, in a rural natural setting and all that that implies. Liability Waiver: You acknowledge that you understand the house is in a rural, isolated setting with 80+ private acres that brings with it some inherent risks including but not limited to using the house in all its capacities, hiking the property, any interactions with wildlife and use of watercraft and gear. The actual coast itself is Crown/Government land and the ocean can be treacherous. You acknowledge that your stay is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with using the house in all its capacities, hiking the property, any interactions with wildlife and use of watercraft. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from using the house in all its capacities, hiking the property, any interactions with wildlife, use of watercraft and/or gear and hold owner harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that use of the house in all its capacities, hiking the property and any interactions with wildlife, use of watercraft and gear may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person who has health risks, or is intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against owner for accidents or claims arising from use of the house in all its capacities, hiking the property, any interactions with wildlife and use of watercraft. All Airbnb Guests in my party acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand this waiver and they acknowledge that confirming below constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between Airbnb Guests and Airbnb Host.
