Mile End Homestead

Mile End is one of Warwick's original homesteads built in 1862. This historic brick home is surrounded by deep verandahs with sweeping views across the Condamine, over the Warwick racecourse and the town. The house is a short drive to restaurants, coffee shops and shopping in Warwick. Mile End has three bedrooms, a working fireplace for those colder evenings, bathroom with a deep tub for relaxing and a kitchen with a double oven. Your host will meet you on site to welcome you to Mile End. The space Mile End is a large historic brick and sandstone home that we have been restoring for the last seven years. If you are a lover of historic homes and would like to experience a gracious old house built when Warwick was still part of NSW Mile End might interest you. Although there is always more restoration to be done with a house built in 1862 the house has french doors opening to the verandahs from most rooms, polished timber floors through the house and a new kitchen, laundry and bathroom. The bathroom is heated with marble tiling and the kitchen has a butlers sink and an Ilve double oven and a new washing machine. The first and second bedrooms are oversized and the lounge room contains two separate seating areas with couches and armchairs. One with a television and one with a working fireplace. The house is located on a block of around 3 acres. Working farms are located on either side. One farms lucerne hay and the a small number of sheep, cattle and horses. Occasionally farming activity takes place during the day and evening.
