Located in the stunning Scenic Rim just 60 minutes from Brisbane, Peak Views Homestead is the perfect peaceful country getaway. Surrounded by Lakes, Winery's, National Parks, Cafes and Restaurants, there is never a shortage of things to do. Curl up with a book or get active with hiking, mountain biking, rowing or swimming. Head back home and watch the sun set over the Great Divide whilst sipping on chilled champagne. Perfect for a weekend for two or family gathering away from the hustle. The space Peak Views Homestead has three large queen bedrooms, with luxury linen throughout. The Master bedroom has an ensuite, sitting area and air conditioning with the remaining two bedrooms having remote controlled ceiling fans. Our home features timber cathedral ceilings throughout, skylights, light filled open spaces, open plan kitchen and country views. The verandah surrounding the house offers outdoor settings to enjoy relaxing with a book, alfresco dining or watching the birds and kangaroos in the evening. The house sits on 10 acres of grassed rolling farmland with scattered ironbark trees and beautiful breezes. Photographers and star gazers will be in their element with the surrounds and clear starry nights. The property also has a further 30 acre paddock of mixed grasslands, Ironbark and Blue Gum woodlands along with stock dam and cattle troughs. As this paddock at times has breeding cattle grazing in it, access may be limited. If you do wish to explore please contact the Host first. We also ask that you don’t take vehicles into this area as it does disturb the native wildlife and can become wet and boggy after rain. As it is a small working farm, your Hosts stay in a second dwelling on the Southern border of the property. This gives the Guests privacy and freedom to enjoy their time at Peak Views. **Please note - we do not accept Bridal/ Hens parties** Suggested Foodies Itinerary: DAY 1 - Enjoy a country drive until you arrive at one of the Scenic Rim's world class wineries for lunch. Mid afternoon check in, followed by a snooze. Enjoy cheese, biscuits and a glass of wine as you watch the sunset. DAY 2 - breakfast outdoors enjoying the Flinder’s range or head into Boonah for breakfast and shopping. Drive to Camel Farm for tour and lunch, followed by afternoon tea and shopping at Scenic Rim Farm Shop. (option to order online for all your local produce and don't forget your esky!) Back to the house for sunset drinks and a cosy fire. DAY 3 - Breakfast outdoors, in Kalbar, Boonah, or at the Boonah Markets (every second Sat). Long Lunch at either Overflow Estate or Kooroomba. Back to the house for a meal and fire. DAY 4 - Check out, drive to Lake Moogerah for a picnic, or head to the Scenic Rim Brewery for lunch on the deck. Head home with your heart and bellies full. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house. Other things to note Drones are not permitted on the property as the noise and shadow frightens the domestic animals such as cattle and horses.. Please ensure all gates are left as they are found due to cattle being present on the property.. Please be aware with young children that we do have dams and water in cattle troughs in the paddocks outside the house yard..
