Clouds is an enchanting scenic getaway in pristine surroundings where you can truly rest relax and rejuvenate. Our bungalow has been thoughtfully equipped with modern facilities and comforts for the discerning guest – while at the same time remaining uniquely private and homely. There are four bedrooms all equipped with individual heating and four modern bathrooms with hot and cold water. Three bedrooms have private sit-outs which have the same panoramic views that can be seen from the garden. A short stroll to the edge of the property leads to an outcrop of rocks overlooking an endless carpet of tea bushes merging into the plains below. The breathtaking 360-degree view covers five provinces. A panorama of undulating hills and the southern plains dotted with lakes and reservoirs could be seen through the Beragala/Haputale gap. On a clear day, the Indian Ocean appears like a crescent of silver rimming the horizon on the south; on the opposite side one sees the famous Fox Hill at Diyatalawa and the rail track winding its way towards Bandarawela. Guest access The caretaker will welcome you to the Bungalow on arrival. The Bungalow is situated in Haputale 193 KM from Colombo at the southern edge of the central hill country. The drive from Colombo takes less than 4 hours on a very scenic route. The journey time is shortened considerably if you start your journey early in the morning avoiding the morning traffic. The Bungalow is less than a kilometer away from the Haputale Railway Station so you can use the train too. Other things to note We have an alacarte menu and meals can be prepared within a couple of hours' notice. You could also select a set menu for your meals by contacting us prior to arrival. We could also arrange for transportation provided sufficient advance notice is given.
