The space Welcome to Rondeletia! We’re thrilled to have you stay with us. Please take a moment to review the following: # The Essentials *Self-Catering Cottage*: Cook up a storm in our fully equipped kitchen, but please clean up after yourself! Use the chopping boards, place garbage in wheelie-bin outside, and report any damages or issues promptly. Braai Facility: Get ready for a traditional South African braai (BBQ) experience! Find the braai tools in the bedroom cupboard. Remember, a braai isn't a braai without a proper fire! For night time braai-ing - The light switch is by the kitchen door… switch the light on twice quickly. To return to motion sensor mode, turn it off and back on. # Cleaning and Servicing (We Know You're Not Here to Clean) Arrive to a sparkling clean cottage, courtesy of our awesome housekeeping team. We'll visit daily from Monday to Friday to keep things tidy … around 10h30 but let us know if you’re snoozing. Prefer no housekeeping? Just let us know in advance. We respect your privacy. If you want cleaning on Saturdays and public holidays - please let us know in advance. (Additional cost) Linen (changed every 3rd or 4th day). Towels (refreshed daily on service days with a full set changed every 3 days). # Check-in/Check-out Normal Check-in time starts at 14h00, but every effort will be made to accommodate earlier or later. Checkout time is anytime between 10h00—11h00. Too early? Please let us know in advance as we are happy to accommodate to suit your schedule. # Electricity Outage/Water Supply (We've Got You Covered) - Our water supply is adequate and is essentially off-grid. Our water storage has a certified filtration system. - We are solar powered and essentially off-grid. Our back-up is the municipal service - in fact, we give them electricity! # Gates (Keep all Closed. Please) - There is a separate gate to Rondeletia. This gate is automated but please check that it is closed at all times. # Keys / Gate Remote The keys and gate remote will be handed over to the guest on arrival. When you leave, please leave them in the bowl on the dining room table. # Laundry There is a washing machine in the cottage for guest use. You’ll find a clothes horse & pegs, and an iron & ironing board in the bedroom cupboard. Otherwise, Gillitts Laundromat is down the road. # Monkeys (They're a Handful! Be warned: mischievous monkeys might try to crash your party!) Don't leave windows and doors without screens open, as monkeys may enter. Use the water spray bottle on the patio table to deter them. # Pets (Our Furry Friend) We have a tiny elderly Yorkshire Terrier named Bugsy. He normally stays close to the main house or soaks up the sun on the main driveway. Please keep all gates closed at all time for his safety and to avoid him being a nuisance. # Sofa Bed (For Extra Guests) - The couch is also a sofa bed. Please let us know if you need additional linen for its use. # Smoking (Please Do It Outside) No smoking inside the cottage and No cigarette butts in the garden or plant pots. # Smart TV - Enjoy our SMART TV with full DSTV bouquet. Use the LG remote to turn on/off, > DSTV remote for volume and programs. # Toilet (Septic tank system) - Don't flush cigarette butts, cotton buds, tampons, sanitary pads, or other non-biodegradable materials down the toilet. # Swimming Pool (Enjoy the Pool) - Guests are welcome to use our pool, at their own risk, which is situated in front of our house. # WiFi Connect to our fast and dedicated WiFi network That's it! We hope you have an amazing time at Rondeletia. Guest access The guesthouse is entirely private and separate from a family home with its own gate entrance and carport. Other things to note Living in Africa has sometimes got its challenges and we are determined to ensure that we have a continuous water and power supply. We have adequate water storage with filtration and working towards solar to ensure no power outages.
