Moonshadow stays, Kommetjie fynbos forest hideaway

Wander through a coastal forest, 5 minutes walk from the beach, to our newly renovated cottage. Enjoy total peace and privacy in this stylish and comfortable space. Wake up to birdsong and fall asleep to the sound of the sea. Watch sunrise and moonrise from the wind protected deck surrounded by forest and Fynbos ( fine indigenous bush & plants). Our space showcases beautiful local art, architecture and design. This property forms part of a private environmental estate and abuts a nature reserve The space We offer guests the type of holiday we enjoy - private, peaceful and very comfortable with a very immediate connection to nature. The fully equipped kitchen and barbeque are set up for quick easy meals, you may not want to leave once you arrive, except to wander down to the beach or hike up to the 'koppie' in front of the house, and look at the view ( we will provide a map of the local area) . The herb box outside has thyme, oregano, mint, rosemary and marjoram for your use. We will supply Rooibos tea, sugar, coffee and a few basic spices . The outside scullery and shower in the bush feel like Glamping in great comfort. The bedrooms both have lovely views towards mountains. Enjoy the library of art, architecture, travel and design books. Guest access The guests have totally separate access to Moonshadow, via a pathway up to their glass double doors. There is a deck on both sides and off the private bathroom.We ask that guests do not go into the bush in front ( the mountain side) of the cottage, for the sake of preserving the bush and for their own and our privacy.
