Ornak Museum House – Angelica Room

Dom Muzealny Ornak is a totally unique place, built in 1902 and since then staying in the family. It combines antique interiors furnished and decorated entirely with furniture and other items from the epoque you usually can see in museums only with modern and comfortable kitchen and bathrooms. We have a beautiful garden, a charming porch and veranda, two parlours, one with a piano, and another in Art Deco style with a tv set. We invite you to a place like no other. The space Angelica room (bedroom) North-east room with a view of the garden and Grunwaldzka Street (several dozen meters away). Very interesting, though of unclear origin, is a table and a leather-padded sofa, also made in the first years of the twentieth century (or slightly earlier). Some woodcarving elements (decorative carvings) indicate that they may be related to the Zakopane style (eg rosette-stars), but the design and shapes of furniture (though with very high aesthetic qualities) do not confirm this. Beds and bedside tables located in this room represent the style typical of the time before the appearance of secession, which could be described as classicist - eclectic.
