The space Guarinup View is a modern, sophisticated eco-home on Torbay Hill, overlooking a breathtaking vista of cliffs, bushland, islands, and the wild Southern Ocean. Designed for year-round comfort. It's ideal for winter getaways — keep warm by the freestanding log fire while watching rain squalls roll across the bay. In spring and autumn (our favourite seasons), the weather is mild, the ocean calm, and wildflowers in full bloom — perfect for fishing, hiking, and exploring. Or treat it as a refreshing summer escape, with beautiful beaches and local attractions right on your doorstep. The home features an open-plan living area with polished concrete floors, a fully equipped kitchen, and an infinity jarrah deck — perfect for sun lounging, outdoor dining, or yoga. Enjoy panoramic 180° views of the Southern Ocean, or relax in the outdoor two-person hot tub while soaking in the incredible scenery. Constructed from hempcrete, Guarinup View is solar-passive and designed for sustainability. Sunlight and ocean breezes flow naturally through the home, creating a calm and restorative atmosphere. The organic hempcrete walls are chemical-free and thermally insulating, complimented by double glazed windows offering natural comfort in every season. Our home is full of character, with thoughtful details and quirks you’ll find described in the house manual upon arrival. So much love and care has gone into creating this sanctuary, and we ask that you treat it with the same respect as your own home. For safety reasons, the property is not suitable for children under 12, and we are unable to accommodate pets due to environmental considerations. No smoking indoors. Guest access Guests have the lower floor and outdoor spaces entirely to themselves, surrounded by bushland. The owners do reside onsite (away from the house) but will only meet if requested as we want our guests to enjoy complete privacy. In some cases, options are available to house-share with the owners. This is available at a reduced rate. Ample parking is provided next to the house. Please note that the upper floor is not accessible to guests. Other things to note Important Information & House Rules Fire Safety: Guarinup View is located in a fire-prone area. Please read the House Manual upon arrival and familiarize yourself with the fire plan. Drone Use: Our neighbours value privacy and choose to live on the hill for its secluded environment. For this reason, please do not fly drones or UAVs on the property during your stay. Respecting our neighbours and community is important to us. Rainwater: We rely on potable rainwater collection for the property, as we are not connected to mains water. We ask guests to conserve water wherever possible during your stay.
