Ahuru House - Spacious&comfortable w/Self check-in

Welcome to Ahuru House. “Ahuru” in Maori (the indigenous people of New Zealand) is to be warm, comfortable, cosy, comfy. We certainly hope this is how you feel when you stay in our fully renovated house in the charming town of Fairlie located in the stunning Mackenzie District. Ahuru House is centrally located and easy to find just off State-Highway 8 in Fairlie. A beautiful place to base yourself as you explore the area. The space Ahuru House can sleep up to 8 adults in 4 bedrooms. Enjoy the King size bed, Super King bed (which can be converted to two Single Long beds on request) and two bunk beds. A fold up baby cot is available. Extra wool blankets are available onsite. All bedrooms are fitted with smoke alarms, privacy day and night curtains. The fully renovated kitchen has brand new appliances for your use including an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer along with microwave, toaster, rice cooker and electric kettle. A beautiful native wood island is the center of attention. There is also a breakfast bar that captures the morning sun and views to the backyard. The breakfast bar has power points and USB charge plugs to make this a work friendly option as well. Ahuru House is fully insulated and has an electric heat pump, wood burner and a Heat Transfer system that draws excess heat from the the lounge and transfers that to the four bedrooms to ensure you’re kept warm and cosy. Hot water is gas heated to ensure there is plenty of hot water for everyone. The house has 1.5 bathrooms. The main bathroom has tiled floor, back lit mirror with built in demister, rain shower with additional hand held shower nozzle and finally but not least a toilet. There is a separate toilet room with vanity unit. The lounge has two couches (one with chaise), a smart TV featuring Free View Channels, Netflix, Spotify and Internet access. The wood burner keeps everything cosy on the cooler days & evenings. Ahuru House is on a very large section with plenty of lawn for kids (and adults) to play or perhaps just lie down and look up at the millions of stars on a clear night. The Mackenzie country is world renowned for its incredibly clear starry nights. The Laundry room has a washing machine, wash tub, drying rack, iron and ironing board. Free Wifi access is available throughout the house. Guest access Guests have full access to house and section. Garage and storage shed are locked and not accessible to guests.
