Savour the peace and quiet of being away from it all, on two acres of rolling hills, and unwind on the deck with a cuppa at sunrise or a glass of wine at sunset. Settle into the character-filled nooks and crannies of the farmhouse, which has been tastefully appointed by interior designer, Suz. Experience the charms of country life, from the clucking of chickens to the chirping of birds, and remember, you might even see a native critter or two. Bring your sense of adventure and take a country drive to explore the friendly wineries and cafes, pubs and boutique shops, hiking trails, and lakes of the Scenic Rim. Spread out with plenty of space for six across three bedrooms and two bathrooms, and enjoy coming together around the dining table and fireplace. As you relax around the fire pit and gaze up at the Scenic Rim sky you won’t want to leave. Suggested Foodies Itinerary: DAY 1 - Enjoy a country drive until you arrive at one of the Scenic Rim's world-class wineries for lunch. Mid-afternoon check-in, followed by a snooze. Enjoy cheese, biscuits, and a glass of wine as you watch the sunset. Ask about our delivered meal options, cook your own, or head to one of the local pubs DAY 2 - Breakfast on either the front or back deck or head into Boonah for breakfast and shopping. Drive to Camel Farm for a tour and lunch, followed by afternoon tea and shopping at Scenic Rim Farm Shop. (option to order online for all your local produce and don't forget your esky!) Back to the house for sunset drinks and a roaring fire. DAY 3 - Breakfast on the deck, in Kalbar, Boonah, or at the Boonah Markets (every second Sat). Long Lunch at either Overflow Estate or Kooroomba. Back to the house for a meal and fire. DAY 4 - Check out, drive to Lake Moogerah for a picnic, or head to the Moogerah Cafe for lunch. Head home with your heart and bellies full. Please Note: *As with many properties in the Scenic Rim, we use tank water, hence a pump. The pump fires when the tap is on and the toilet is flushed. We advise you to let it mellow if it's yellow - especially during the night. *We have NBN which performs well the majority of the time. Like most, it slows down in the afternoon and evening. Mobile phone access is better with Telstra and the best coverage is under the palm tree out the front. *Bridal parties attract a $200 refundable (on inspection) deposit *Small dogs are welcome. We have free range hens which roam the whole property, so dogs may need to be on leash outside, depending on training. The property is fully fenced though not dog proof. Guest access Guests have full access to the house. The mud room and laundry may be used, however, they are not renovated and are just used for storage, so please, no judgment. Other things to note As with most rural properties, we have septic tanks and tank water. Please be mindful of water usage, flush ONLY toilet paper, no fat down the sink Drones are NOT permitted on the property Please supervise children at all times
