Description

The house in the historic center of Favara is just a 3-minute walk from Farm Cultural Park, a contemporary cultural center and open-air museum. Also very close to the Almond Museum, the square in the historic center, restaurants, bars, pizzerias and pastry shops with traditional Sicilian delicacies. About 10 minutes by car from the Valley of the Temples and 20 from the sea. 30 km from the beautiful Scala dei Turchi. Terrace with magnificent views, rooms with large showers and designer furniture. The space Casa Lupita is a vacation home where guests can enjoy two comfortable bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a beautiful panoramic terrace overlooking the historic center of Favara and the cozy living room kitchen, equipped with every comfort to be able to cook. Casa Lupita is a little dream come true in a city made for dreams and dreamers. A city that has become a symbol of change. The house is a stone's throw from Farm Cultural Park – a place that makes you happy – a place where beautiful things happen, which is important to visit even if only to be able to say "I've been there" since it is talked about all over the world! Thanks to the change triggered by the Farm Cultural Park, Favara is now considered a capital of urban regeneration: it is a community of people who are trying to change the status quo by creating a new way of living in the future. Casa Lupita was created to contribute to this change: it is one of the old houses of the charming old town, totally renovated and furnished with the creative flair of ORAdesign (sustainable design), which becomes a Holiday Home to welcome tourists, artists, architects and urban regeneration enthusiasts. The house takes its name "Lupita" from the affectionate name by which Mexicans call the Madonna of Guadalupe, patron saint of Latin America, to whom the house is dedicated. It is spread over three levels, according to the centuries-old building tradition typical of Sicilian/Arab historic centers: the living area and a bedroom with bathroom are located on the first floor. An internal staircase leads to a second bedroom with a bathroom on the second floor and a terrace with stunning views. Guest access The house consists of two bedrooms with a bathroom, which can also be rented individually. Casa Lupita has a total of six comfortable beds plus a cot. It can accommodate up to 7 people (families or groups). GROUND FLOOR The house is accessed directly from the Costanza Courtyard, near Piazza San Vito. An internal staircase gives access to the rooms on the first and second floors. You can park your car in Piazza San Vito or more conveniently along Via Umberto near Descesa San Vito. FIRST FLOOR The kitchen/living room is equipped with a fridge-freezer and everything you need to cook, a large 8-seater dining table and a large sofa that can become a comfortable double bed if necessary. The double bedroom located on the second floor is a spacious room with a balcony and a large adjoining bathroom equipped with a suspended toilet, sink, and double shower. It is dominated by an original double boat bed and a work by the artist Kampah depicting the face of Bukowski. It is possible to add a third bed in the room with a cot. SECOND FLOOR The bedroom on the second floor is a stylish and cozy environment that has a "split bathroom" with a private toilet and sink and a large double shower in the room. It is equipped with a small console and an olive branch as a coat rack. TERRACE The private terrace with a panoramic view of the historic center of Favara and the dome of the Mother Church is particularly charming. A challenge for our guests is to be able to count all the bell towers that can be seen from the terrace! The terrace is equipped with a large masonry bench, a sink, a dining table with 6-8 seats and 4 deck chairs. By day and night, the terrace offers a unique spectacle, especially on summer evenings of full moon, and becomes the perfect place for an aperitif, dinner or a simple moment of relaxation outdoors. The house is autonomous. It is particularly suitable for couples (single rooms are rented) or for a family or a group of friends and can accommodate up to 7 people (2 double beds, 1 double sofa bed, 1 cot). The house has numerous steps, so it is not accessible to people with motor disabilities. Families with small children should take care to pay close attention to children because the staircases in the common areas are not separated by doors. All stairs have a comfortable handrail that we always recommend using. The ORAdesign furnishings, which you find in every room of the house, are inspired by used and lived-in objects that have aroused emotions with their history and mysterious past and that have been transformed into a new creation where the signs of time constitute an added value, making everything special and unique. The large living room table, the boat bed, the bedside tables, the console, the furnishing trunks, the wardrobes, the lamps, the towel racks, the mirrors, all signed by ORAdesign, have the value of the Hand, the Mind, the Taste, the Creativity, the Inspiration, the IDEA that with the sensitivity of those who see in the material everything that others do not see takes the form of furnishings, accessories, art and design.
