Description

Note Only two guests (not children) can stay/sleep at this listing as per house rules. Our two-story home on the highest point at Tyrone beach and is only 3 mins from beautiful Tyrone beach, 10 mins to the popular Peninsula Hot Springs. Slide open the doors and wake up to a wonderful bay view, take a morning walk along one of the Peninsula's best beaches or sit on the huge deck with a book taking in uninterrupted panoramic water view. The space Our HOME is at the end of a no through street, up on top of a hill being the highest point in this local area. It is a secluded area nestled amongst the tea trees and the Moonahs. Enjoy peace and quiet while sitting out on the deck taking in the amazing water views. Yet you are only a short walk to Tyrone beach and Blairgowrie shops. A short drive to a variety of golf courses, Peninsula Hot Springs, ocean beaches, Sorrento and Portsea rock pools. Swimming with the dolphins at Sorrento or visiting the wineries for lunch at Red Hill. The HOME has two bedrooms featuring comfortable chiropractic mattresses, fresh quality linen and towels, a flat-screen TV, and a blue-ray DVD player. Both bedrooms are upstairs from the main area and have amazing bay views from each room. Wake up in your chiropractic bed to the bay view and if you look carefully you can see dolphins frolicking in the early morning. Adjacent to the bedroom is a bathroom with a toilet and shower. In the bathroom is a two-person bath (please be aware it is an old spa bath but only works as a bath not a spa) with water views over the bay and views right back over Rye. The main dining area and lounge have glass sliding doors that open onto a 12 x 5 metre deck with fabulous views. The cosy lounge room has a six-person dining room table and an open fireplace where you can snuggle up with a glass of red on a cold winter's evening. There is a wall-mounted TV, and blue-ray DVD including a small selection of DVDs, music, board games, and books to read. There are air conditioning and ducted heating throughout the home for your convenience. Guests have a fully well-equipped kitchen. This includes a fridge, dish drawer dishwasher, pod coffee machine, kettle, toaster, and oven. Four things many of my guests love about our HOME are: •Stunning Bay Views – whether lying in bed or sitting on the deck they just love watching the marine traffic, colours of the water in the bay, or sailing boats on a summer weekend. •Comfortable bed – lots of guests comment they sleep really well with the sea air and a comfortable bed. •Location – They feel secluded yet only a short walk to the bay and central everything else the Mornington Peninsula has to offer. •Cleanliness and décor – we pride our home on being clean. Guests find the casual seaside décor relaxing and easy living Three things guests ask us to make others aware of at our HOME are: •Shared main balcony – We have been renting out both residences over weekends and weekdays for almost three years now. The feedback from guests is they really enjoyed sharing the deck and meeting new Airbnbers yet also found they had their own privacy. Please read Guest Access below for more details. .Guests provide their own firewood. Doing this means the house costs are kept lower as some people don't use the open fire while others use it every night. Op Guest access At our Airbnb Stunning Bay Views Rye there are two places to stay; either the HOME or the Studio Apartment. Both the APT and HOME have completely separate entrances and are completely separate spaces. Each has its own bathroom and bedroom with bay views from the bed, despite being under the one roofline. The only area they do share is a 12 x 5 metre deck, if both parties are there at the same time. The HOME has an additional private deck, 12 x 1.5 metres upstairs. The APT has an additional private garden deck measuring 4 x 5 metres. If a couple is booked into the APT then we only book a couple into the HOME. Sometimes you may hear guests moving around or generally living noise in the other residence and sometimes you don't. It is good to be aware of it. There is separate car park for the HOME in a lock-up garage and the APT car park is adjacent to the entrance via the garden deck. Some guests reviews: “Meeting the guests staying in the house on my first night was also a highlight - the balance of privacy in the house and apartment but with shared balcony works perfectly. Bronwyn was very available and considerate with every aspect of the trip." Riley APT March 2019 “The HOME backs onto an apartment and we share the main balcony with this apartment. Initially we were turned off this idea, wanting privacy but once explained and once we were there, it really is not an issue. Don't be turned off if this sounds like a shared situation. It was quite ok. We only saw the other guests in the other apartment once in the morning. This HOME was a gem and if we didn't have to leave, we would've happily stayed another week." Lisa HOME January 2015 Other things to note Lastly, steep driveways equal great views. Yes, you read this right, the driveway is very steep. Please keep this in mind for older people and children. The driveway to 2a Austin St is a shared driveway. I always walk up 2a Austin Driveway then enter the gate and up the steps to number 2 Austin Street. It is not as steep and much safer. If you do not want to drive up the steep driveway you can park your car in the street which is a dead end. Weekends – Min 2 night stay. Long weekends – Min 3 night stay. Easter and Cup weekend – Min 4 night stay. December/January holidays: Min 5 night stay. If you book a non-public holiday weekend you can stay an extra night for $150. Please inquire about this special offer. Our family has supported, for the past 10 years, a street kids refuge called Green Gecko. The Green Gecko Project supports over 70 children who previously lived and begged on the streets of Siem Reap, Cambodia. Look up Green Gecko Project if you are interested. Green Gecko provides security, education, love and opportunities to these children through their formative years and into their adult lives, empowering them to achieve their full potential. The project also supports the children's families and the broader community through long term health, education and training initiatives. We give $5 from every night you stay at Stunning Bay Views Rye to the Green Gecko Project.
