Redstone Organic Farm is a 52 year old unique place with a rich history that impacted this region in several ways ! An eco/people/animal friendly rustic home with an endearing cozy ambiance. Experience authentic, simple country living ! A home with a warm welcoming feeling with several sit outs, decks, a vast library, a fireplace and hammocks. A culture of 'feel at home, help yourself, chill on the hammocks or roll in the grass' Self service. Not for the over fastidious :) The space All guests are given a guided tour of the organic farm where you can experience organic farming, composting, seed saving, irrigation systems, mulching, making herbal shampoos, a bio gas plant. and sustainable living. Its also the farm where strawberry cultivation in this region was popularized! Inspired by Gandhi's ideas of basic education and Tagore's philosophy of learning through nature this organic farm doubled up as a fun learning place where a three year experiment at home schooling ten children with a child centered approach thrived ! On request we can guide you through the library and share tips on homeschooling un schooling, child centered learning, NVC (non violent communication), classic yoga within the context of sustainable living . With prior planning we organised experiences to encourage you to be an eco tourist We have cows dogs and a cat. Every private room has a double bed and 2 single beds or high mattresses. On long weekends we generally prefer minimum 2 night booking. Try your luck anyway. Guest access Guests may use the kitchen, garden, patios, decks, outdoor and indoor dinning spaces, and outdoor and indoor fireplaces and barbecues. During your stay Special event : 17th-19th May Yoga retreat, forest bathing, theraputic creative dance. Pre registration mandatory. Enquire with hosts for more details. I will be around to welcome and guide you. Other things to note Our is an eco friendly place. We do not handle any non biodegradable waste like plastics bottles cans and baby diapers. These must be taken away with you when you leave. We request you not to feed our pets. Please Note: The App calculates the room at the price quoted for 3 persons and adds Rs.950 for every extra person - in the same room. Therefore do Inform the host re the number of rooms you require. We can provide additional rooms on request and will inform you of the extra cost if any. The rooms have their washrooms separate . They are all Western toilets .
