Description

Orongo Point is a privately owned headland surrounded by the untouched waters of the Kaipara. Situated 20 mins from Wellsford SH1 or if you prefer the scenic SH16 drive from Auckland through Kaukapakapa, only 1 hour 10 mins. Orongo Point offers the ultimate getaway experience with 200 acres of private farmland and 3 kms of pristine forested coastline to explore, with access to its own private and magnificent white sandy beach. The space Orongo Point bach provides simple kiwi style bach accommodation and is the perfect base to explore this amazing part of New Zealand. The Bach bathroom has just been renovated and new floors throughout. The queen bed also has a new mattress. The bach is a rustic-styled, 2 bedroom timber hut with adjoining outdoor deck to enjoy the views of Lemon Tree Bay. Inside, there is a master bedroom - with a luxurious queen size bed. The second bedroom offers bunk accommodation with two single beds. The kitchen is modern and well appointed with plenty of fridge space. Timber lining gives the bach a rustic, natural charm, which is surrounded by a mature garden and fruit orchard. The interior decor is cosy but contemporary. Soft furs and natural fibers add to the feeling of simple luxury. You are free to explore the coastline, beaches, and farm at your leisure and enjoy the tranquility and remoteness this special piece of New Zealand has to offer.the entire bach. Other things to note Pets are welcome. We get a lot of visitors bringing their dogs with them. They love the freedom and space to run around, too. There is plenty of room amongst the park like surroundings of the bach to put your tents up and camp. Please remember to bring your own linen and towels. We have plenty of duvets, blankets, and throws to keep you warm and cozy. We love our special part of New Zealand and encourage you to take your rubbish with you.
