Description

Have you ever slept in a former library of a church? Well this is your chance.. a stone throw away from forest, dunes, beach and sea you will enter this cottage through the former side entrance of the church. The apartment is renovated with floor heating (except for the entrance and restroom). It has private entry and ditto parking. Great area for hiking and biking. Supermarket at 1 km. Restaurants at walking distance. Shopping and exploring in Alkmaar (13 mins/train) and Amsterdam CS (28 mins). The space 43m2 or 463 sq ft cottage. A cosy place with floor heating. Connected to a former church and rectory on the other side. Full bedroom with bathroom, sitting room and nice and simple kitchen. All you need for a pleasant stay. Guest access All the apartment is yours while you stay with us. Other things to note The cottage is situated between the former catholic church and the rectory next door. The street is a broad avenue with beautiful large trees on both sides. Free private parking (cars and bicycles) is possible just in front of the apartment. From the village of Bakkum it is easy to explore the neighborhood with about 6 restaurants a stone throw away. There is a Michelin star rated restaurant, a Grand Café, an Italian restaurant, French dining and also 2 cafeterias. Nearby there are places to rent a bicycle. The best way to explore the town of Castricum would be by foot or bicycle. The best way to visit the beach would be by bicycle through the forest and dunes. It’s about 20 minutes. Or straight to the beach about 15 minutes. The campsite ‘Bakkum’ you will pass when going to the beach. It is one of the oldest campsites of Holland (over a 100 years old, together with campsite Samoza). It’s worth while to pay a visit to this campsite because of the extra ordinary vibe and the great fish and chips. Also there’s a small supermarket. On the other side of the beachroad you’ll find reataurant Johanneshof and the visitors center ‘De Hoep’ where to learn more about nature and the dunes landscape.
