The house is within a short ten minute drive to Rijeka and Opatija and has been renovated and fully furnished plus has all the necessary appliances for a very comfortable stay. You will certainly enjoy the peace and cool nights in spring and summer and will stay warm with a wood-fired heating system in the cooler months. The space A beautiful double storey stone house with plenty of room inside and out for you to relax and feel at home in a peaceful country atmosphere. Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet of being in a rural woodland setting that is only a short drive from many towns including Rijeka and Opatija. On the ground floor you will find a cozy living room with widescreen television and comfortable sofas, a charming dining room perfect for family dinners and a fully-equipped kitchen with large central bench/ bar where you can create delicious meals. Appliances include electric oven and gas-stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, electric kettle and toaster. There is also a bathroom with shower and toilet and a laundry space with washing machine for your convenience. Upstairs the skylights in the hall allow for plenty of natural light to shine through during the day and also illuminate the kitchen downstairs through the glass-panelled floor. There are 3 generously sized bedrooms (1 with a huge ensuite bathroom) and a separate 3rd bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. Outside on the ground floor you can relax and enjoy meals on the verandahs, which are fully complemented with tables, chairs, sofas and even a barbecue. When you're ready to cool down you can take a relaxing swim in the beautiful infinity pool that is surrounded by a garden of leafy green plants and herbs. A variety of board games are available for your entertainment, such as table tennis, table football, darts, badminton... From the property you will have a lovely view of the surrounding countryside and feel like you are in the wilderness even though the cities of Rijeka and Opatija are so close. You can feel that you are near the sea and the shady green countryside all in one day. Nearby you can find the best wine cellars in Istria and taste delicious fresh local food. Re-energise and walk along the many trails of the nearby nature park, or you could even go mountain-biking if you're feeling adventurous. I, as a host can offer you a guided tour of many different and interesting nature trails if you prefer to not be on your own as I am an experienced mountain-biker and hiker and know the local area very well. You'll love my newly renovated stone house with a wide view on the forest, fully equipped for your perfect stay. Enjoy the peace and fresh air during the summer nights and benefit from the easy access to many amazing towns within a half hour drive. Although this area is best-enjoyed if you have your own transport, if you do not have a car I can arrange to fetch you from nearby airports Zagreb, Ljubljana, Ronghi, Krk - all within a two-hour drive. Guest access Guests will have the house and the backyard area to themselves. The large private garden and verandahs with barbecue and pool offer complete privacy. Parking is available on-site. Other things to note Note: It has a large private garden with the pool and barbecue that is not shared with the host. The pool and surrounding area are completely protected from any unwanted gaze. You can enjoy complete privacy at the pool and the entire yard. FKK guests are welcome. There is also ample parking in the backyard. WiFi is available on the whole property. Do not expect the village, which has been turned into a tourist settlement. You can get that in 15km distant settlements along the coast.
