Le Haut Repaire
Description
Come for Autumn Winter 2025/6 with a 30% reduction!! (Already applied) A charming farmhouse set in 10 hectares of land, in an enviable position with exceptional views. To be enjoyed at any time of year. Search for orchids in Spring; laze by the (shared) infinity pool in Summer; enjoy roast meats and chestnuts in the fireplace in Autumn or cozy up next to the Christmas tree with family in Winter. Saint Robert, one of ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages des France’, is only a few mins away or 20 min walk. The space On the ground floor lies the kitchen with open fire and lounge with wood burning stove. Upstairs is the main bedroom with ensuite, the twin room and separate bathroom. (a fifth bed can be made up on the floor) If you are a larger party and you opt for the extra guests, there is a further double bedroom with ensuite on the lower ground floor, this is subject to a fee and availability. It has it's own entrance and small kitchenette, so would be well suited to older children or adults. Days could be wiled away by the stunning infinity pool or lazily sitting the shade of the walnut trees. Or you could choose to be more active. There are limitless opportunities on site or just a short car journey away. There are countless ancient villages and towns to explore with their rivers and castles. So how can you get all of this for such a low price I hear you ask...well, it isn't all entirely finished. We are lovingly renovating this idyllic property and it is not something that should be rushed. So, the terraces have not yet been adorned with their stone courses, and there are a few breeze blocks on show. This is reflected in the price and we hope, should not detract from your enjoyment of your stay. Guest access A car is essential except in the warmer months when it is possible to walk or cycle to some places such as the local village (St Robert) to gather supplies from the local butcher, baker and shop. There is plenty of parking. Other things to note There is a large woodburning stove to keep you extremely toasty in Autumn and Winter. There is also an ancient 16th century open fireplace which you can also cook on if you want a very special experience. We ask you please to use the wood fired stove as your primary source of heating and avoid using the electric radiators. Not only are they very expensive to run, but they are much less gentle on the environment than our sustainable wood supply. (We will provide limitless wood!) The pool is always open, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. It's not heated but you are welcome to use it on a frosty winters morning before rushing in to warm up in front of the fire if you like. During July and August the pool is shared with 3 other double bedrooms. And all year around, it is shared with our family although we use it very lightly. It is a large pool and the surrounding area is not only stunning, but also spacious giving plenty of seating for all of the guests. A beautifully decorated (real) Christmas tree and other decorations arrive in the house mid December and remain for the rest of the festive period at no extra charge.
