Garden Studio Apartment with patio

Pauline's apartment is naturally cool with a view of the garden from the room. It has a kitchen and en-suite bathroom. Guests have exclusive access to the patio outside the room. The house has a garden for relaxing & BBQs. Free Wifi and free parking nearby. The price reflects that ithis apartment is partially below ground. Please write if you wish to bring a pet - most of the time they are welcome. The space Hemingway House Holiday Apartments is a 19th century townhouse right in the centre of Kobarid which has been converted into 5 unique self-catering apartments for the budget yet style conscious traveller. The Apartments have all been named after Ernest Hemingway's wives and this queen studio apartment (27sqm) has been named after his second wife Pauline. This studio apartment (27 sqm) catches the afternoon and evening sun and as its partially below ground its cool even on the hottest of summer's days. It has queen double bed with an orthopedic mattress and ceiling fan directly above it. I use 100% cotton sheets and provide 2 pillows each. The kitchen has a 3 ring electric hob, fridge, toaster, kettle, Bodum French press and Bialetti coffee makers, cooking equipment and crockery for two people. The Dining room table seats two. The en-suite bathroom is has ample counter space for your toiletries and has a large storage closet for your luggage etc and a heated towel rail. The room is located at the rear of the ground floor of the house and is accessed directly via the Downstairs terrace. Please note you enter via the bathroom. It has its own private and lockable entrance. Guests also have exclusive access to the covered patio with a table and two chairs. There is free wifi . Pets are welcome in this apartment, for an additional €10 cleaning fee and if you agree to my pet policy. Please write and I will email you the details. Please note that this apartment is partially below ground level and can be humid when its been raining a lot. The room has a dehumidifier to minimise this problem. On the positive side, the apartment is naturally cool so its perfect for people who do not like air-conditioning and/or have pets. Due to this drawback I have priced this apartment at same cost or lower than the local hostel. Extras: Guests can do their own laundry at a cost of €4/load after 1600 on a first come first served basis. Please note there is NOT a tumble dryer for your use, only clothes airers. If I have spare time during the day I will make every effort to do your laundry for you if you give it to me in the morning. Breakfast is also available upon request at an added cost of €10/per person / per night. It consists of tea, coffee, hot milk, juice, fresh fruits, museli and corn flakes, yogurt, breads, meats, cheeses and a boiled egg. The breakfast can also be adapted to suit your tastes..ie. apple juice vs. orange juice etc. On Sundays I make crepes as the local bakery is closed. I have tried to make this apartment a home away from home for guests and I wish you a very happy stay here in the Soca Valley. Parking: There is free parking just behind the Kulturi Dom a 3 minute walk from the house, it's huge so there is always space. You can unload your bags for free at the parking lot across the street as the first hour is for free (afterwards it costs €0.50 per hour). If leaving before 0900 there are 3 other parking places closer to the house you can use. Guest access Outside Spaces Hemingway House has two terraces from which to admire the stunning mountain views visible from them. There is a large garden which has a BBQ and 2 picnic tables, as well as 3 sun loungers for you to relax on. And I've planted a herb garden and so guests can cook with fresh herbs. To the rear of the garden is a restored garden where myself and Hemingway live. It is possible for you to store bicycles in the garden and for you to charge ebikes. Other things to note The prices do not include the local tourist tax which costs €2.50 per adult and €1.00 for children (3 to 18) per night. Breakfast is available for an extra cost of €10 per person per night. Laundry is possible for €4 per load. If you are planning to come for 7 nights or longer it is always worth it to write to me...I like to make special offers for my longer term guests in the off season.
