Description
Driftwood cottage is a compact and beautiful detached 18th century stone cottage, set in it's own small garden and based in the idyllic hamlet of Cwm Ivy in North Gower. A magical walk from the property leads through the Whitford National Nature Reserve to both Whitford Sands and Broughton Bay (both are within half a mile). The Gower peninsular offers an array of beautiful coastal walks, open grasslands, woodland and marsh walks. It also boasts some of the most spectacular beaches in the UK. The space The cottage comprises of a living room with a wood burning stove, sofa, free view TV, DVD player and dining room table with chairs. This room and the adjoining kitchen have stable doors that open onto the private garden. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery a fridge /freezer, cooker with 4 ring hob and a microwave oven. The upstairs bedroom with its cute brass framed bed and traditional exposed beams has a small ensuite toilet. As well as the log burner in the lounge, the property has plug in radiators and an electric stove burner with cosy coal fire effect. We will supply a generous basket of wood for the fire and additional wood bundles can be purchased for a reasonable price. We have an off road parking space suitable for a small car. For larger vehicles road parking may be required and spaces directly next to the cottage cannot be guaranteed. The cottage is accessed via stone steps and the bedroom has a steep wooden staircase, so we are afraid that the property is not suitable for guests with limited mobility. Taller guests please be aware that due to this being a period property the living room ceiling and door frames are low. We don't have wifi at the property but the Llanmadoc Community Shop (Siop y Bobl) and some of the local pubs have free wifi access.
