The Mews House is a homely, light & spacious character cottage in the village of Llanishen, Monmouthshire, between the Wye & Usk Valleys, AONB areas. There is a variety of attractions including walks from the property and in the local area, castles, Tintern Abbey, the River Wye, Roman Caerleon, horse riding, cycling & golf. It is a 2 minute walk to the village shop & garage. The village pub is closed at the moment but there are 3 other good food pubs each just over 2 miles away. The Mews House is part of a former vicarage that dates back to the 17th and 15th century. You can still see the archway in the first floor hallway that connected The Mews House to the newer 1880's extension, Rowan House, where we live. It retains many original features such as the wooden floors and several fireplaces. Unusually for a building of this age it has large windows and high ceilings giving it a light and spacious feel. The large rooms, private garden with the covered area and games room make for a great holiday for friends or family groups to come together whatever the weather. The property is set out over three floors with the living accommodation on the first and second floors. The washer/dryer and all the things in the house are free and private. We supply, bath sheets, hand towels, tea towels, cleaning products, washing machine tablets, hand soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and loo roll. When you arrive you will find some tea, coffee, sugar, milk and cake to welcome you. The property is an excellent location for groups of family and friends to come together and enjoy a countryside break. There is a large, sociable Kitchen/Diner, Living Room and Games/Map Room. So that you can make use of the private, secluded garden all year round there is a large covered space with dinning and lounge areas. Surrounded by nature the garden is set away from any roads and the BBQ, fire pit and garden games make it a great space to relax and socialise in. Airbnb do not give an option for 'super king size beds' or for 'zip and link beds' so in the details it lists us as sleeping 6 with 8 beds. It can be a bit confusing so just for clarity, we have two bedrooms with super king zip and link beds that can also be set out as two full size singles. The third bedroom has two single beds. We are happy to help with any special requests to make your stay as comfortable as possible and can provide a travel cot and highchair if required.
