Le rougeyras , charming old house

If you like calm, nature , hikes in a very beautiful environment, bike rides, river swimming and simply lazing around, you are welcome(s) at CEPS. The house dates from the late 18th century , built in a Languedoc style, with different levels and 3 floors. CEPS is a still unspoiled hamlet. During this special period of Coronavirus, the bedroom is disinfected after each host pass, as well as bathroom and common areas. The space the property is non-smoking. The house is old, decorated with objects brought back from our travels, weaving,plants, musical instruments. A pleasant, panoramic terrace, with pergola to have breakfast and a large garden adjoining the house are there to welcome you. In the garden, there are benches, sun loungers , hammock comfortable to read or dream among olive trees , pink laurels, and Mediterranean plants. A table and chairs are available for a picnic under an olive tree. The bedroom has a double bed and possibly an extra bed for a child. Guest access You will have access to your room ( spacious ) , the terrace and the large garden , with parking for your vehicle. Large and private bathroom. kitchen not accessible. During your stay We can tell you the walking and hiking routes, the wine estates to be preferred, the historical sites to visit , there are many: Cathar castles, Narbonne, Sète, Pézenas, Fontfroide Abbey, St Guilhem Abbey the desert, the Clape. The Mediterranean Sea is 50 km away and Mont du Caroux is about 20 km away. We love discussion , exchange of ideas, music in general and jazz in particular... note: CAR IS ESSENTIAL. Other things to note No pets allowed. This house is non-smoking . Breakfast will be made up of " homemade" organic jams, organic tea/ coffee and seasonal garden fruits ( organic!!) Please note that the KITCHEN is NOT accessible to hosts. namely, also, that the house has MANY STAIRS and that the shops ( grocery store, restaurants, bakery , guinguettes are 4 km away. In these times of COVID,when restaurants are closed, we can, if desired, offer you meals (€12/meal/person).
