We have no near neighbours so your dogs are safe when exploring the fields, streams and woodland along with footpaths from the doorstep. The cottage has an enclosed front lawn and private back patio. Your large porch is perfect for storing lead, coats and walking boots under cover after a day enjoying the many local walks and villages. A particular favourite of ours is a walk from Wheal Coates National Trust car park (20 minutes drive away) to Chapel Porth taking in the iconic tin mines and enjoying a hedgehog ice cream at Chapel Porth before tackling the uphill path back to the car. The kitchen is well equipped with double oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, induction hob, slow cooker and dishwasher. Along with crockery (including child friendly), cutlery and cooking utensils to magic up home made treats or to enjoy a takeaway curry around the dining table. You will also find, tea. coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, salt, pepper and oil to get you started. The living room (and whole cottage) is warmed by the oil fired wood burner offering cosy nights in with a mug of cocoa, lamps lit and film on the smart TV or the simpler things in life, a game of cards or monopoly. Sleeping arrangements include a double bed (king sized bedding so nobody gets chilly), a leather pull out sofa bed and a single bed or day bed which offers a cosy retreat to read a book or simply take time out. Sun loungers, table and chairs and barbecue are supplied to make the most of the outdoors. Although the peace and quiet feels as though you are miles from anywhere, Truro and Perranporth are only a 10 minute drive away and we are literally 3 minutes off the A30, so great for exploring the rest of Cornwall. Perranporth is a fantastically dog friendly little town, from the miles of golden sands, to the Tywarnhale and Seiners pubs, everything is dog friendly. The Pavillion ice-cream shop and Seiners pub even offer a doggie menu. You can enjoy endless beach options within a 10 minute drive, walks from the doorstep or city shopping. We thoroughly enjoy a mooch around the Saturday morning Farmer’s Market in Truro, or a lazy breakfast at The Cornish Barista just 5 minutes away in Shortlanesend. We are a 15 minute walk from Nancarrow Farm so a perfect complement to any function there. There is a self service Voltshare type 2 7kw untethered EV charger on site which is just outside of the cottage and shared with the boathouse. The cottage is located on our family smallholding and there is ample extra, free parking should you require it. The whole cottage is yours, exclusively, along with the enclosed private patio and fenced front lawn. You will find a barbecue and coat hangers to hang wetsuits in the garden shed, there is also an outdoor tap on the side of the cottage, perfect for rinsing beach gear, muddy boots and paws. You will be welcome to walk in our fields and grounds. We ask that dogs stay on leads until you are on the footpaths and tracks around us and please shut any gates you pass through. **check out the boathouse which sleeps up to 2 people **. Other things to note On arrival, you will find that we have provided tea, coffee, sugar etc along with a packet of biscuits so that you can relax and unwind with a cuppa before even having to unload the car. Dogs are very welcome and they have simply the best time sniffing about and exploring but we do ask that they are not allowed upstairs or on the bed please. There is a stairgate fitted and we also supply blankets (in the welcome pack) should they wish to snuggle up with you on the sofa. Please also remember to bring their crate or bed. You will have a wide variety of channels to enjoy on the Smart TV, please remember to bring your login details and passwords with you. The bathroom contains a large shower but not a bath. Superfast broadband is supplied for the cottage wifi, perfect for sharing your experiences with friends and relatives. This is a family home so we are welcome to help out, where we can, if you have forgotten anything, please just ask. Guests often remark on both the peace and tranquillity and the perfect location for ease of exploring, you really do have the best of both worlds. You are within 4 miles of the city of Truro and 10 minutes from Perranporth with its amazing dog friendly pubs, restaurants, beaches and shops. Please note that we have a number of unfenced lakes and a stream on our property. Please keep a close eye on children and pets as we can take no liability whilst you are on our premises. In the true spirit of being nestled in nature, there are 2 pairs of house martins who make the long migratory journey to nest and raise their young in the porch roof. It is an absolute joy to sit on the stairs and watch them being fed. You can enjoy the most incredible night skies, free from light pollution, you may wish to bring a torch to aid late night returns to the cottage.
