Welcome to our humble abode, nestled in a friendly neighbourhood with great amenities. Enjoy family living surrounded by nature and a "jungle" feel. This charming 4-bedroom semi features laminate flooring throughout, except for the carpeted staircase. The modern kitchen is fully equipped, and guests can enjoy Reverse Osmosis filtered water for drinking and cooking. Some areas have quirky touches. The South-facing garden offers privacy, a patio, and a hammock and a relaxation area. The space This cosy, light-filled South-facing bedroom features a comfortable king-size bed, two side tables with lamps, and extra pillows available upon request. It has a lock for privacy, a large mirror, and a small chest of drawers for storage. Above the cabinet, a clothes bar with wooden hangers is available for hanging clothes. There’s also a small table with two cushioned chairs. The room includes free WiFi, and a welcome pack upon arrival. Air-purifying indoor plants are also placed in the room , but we can remove some of them upon request. Guests share a bathroom with a fantastic shower and sink. There are two separate toilets, each with a sink—one upstairs, one downstairs. Guest access Room Access: All areas of the home are accessible to guests, except for two other bedrooms. One of these is a king-size bedroom that is also rented out to other Airbnb guests. Dining, Garden, and Outdoor Areas: Guests are welcome to use the dining and garden rooms, as well as the outdoor garden (except during colder months). Allotment and Produce: We have a rented allotment where we grow a variety of vegetables. Guests are welcome to enjoy some of the produce when it is available. Welcome Pack and Kitchen Use: A welcome pack will be provided upon arrival. Please note, breakfast is not included. Guests are welcome to prepare and cook simple meals, but we ask that you clean the stove, worktops, and used utensils (including crockery) and return them to their original places. Hammock Use: Upon request, the hammock is available for relaxation during the summer months. Please note, the hammock is not suitable for larger guests. Nearby Amenities: There are several convenient shops and services near our place, including Sainsbury Local, Best One shops, 3 Indian restaurants, an Italian restaurant, 2 Fish & chip shops, Denton Pub, a Chinese takeaway, a post office, and a pharmacy. Parking and Transport: Guests can park on our driveway or park off street. Buses run every 10 minutes to the city centre for your convenience. During your stay About Us and Our Home: My wife and I live in this lovely home, and we’ll be here to warmly welcome you. We’re happy to share tips for sightseeing and recommend local spots in Northumberland. We enjoy traveling, gardening, cooking, and meeting people from all over the world. Occasionally, we also play board games with guests and friends. Shared Spaces and Activities: Guests are welcome to join us for a chat and watch TV in the living room, or relax in the dining and garden rooms, as well as the outdoor garden (weather permitting, not in colder months). Feel free to play the piano or guitar if you wish. However, if you prefer some privacy, we’re happy to give you the space you need. Other things to note Check-in Information: Check-in is available between 3 PM and 11 PM, unless otherwise prearranged with me to use the key safe. If you're looking to book a longer stay and the dates seem unavailable, please contact me directly, as I may not have released them yet. Important Notes for Guests: No Smoking or Vaping: I am strictly not accepting bookings from guests who smoke or vape on the premises. Food Restrictions: Guests are not allowed to bring any dried foods (e.g., dried fish, dried meat, kimchi) from countries like Nigeria, Korea, or elsewhere. These foods have previously caused unpleasant odours in the property, and we want to ensure a comfortable living environment for everyone. Pork-Free Home: As this is a pork-free home, pork, bacon or ham cannot be brought in or cooked here. Bathroom Usage: After showering, please help us maintain cleanliness by keeping the bathroom and shower room dry. Kindly rinse off any soap suds, then use the provided wiper and cloth to dry the cubicles and floor. Toilet Usage: Please be considerate of others and remember to close the lid before flushing. Also, kindly close the toilet door gently. Recycling & Composting: We practice recycling and composting. Please place fruit and vegetable peels in the designated compost bins. Washing Machine Use: Guests staying for more than 3 nights are welcome to use the washing machine. After use, please dry the door gasket/rubber seal and leave the door ajar to prevent mildew and maintain cleanliness. Drying Clothes: During colder months and rainy days, we will place a movable cloth rail by the front door for drying clothes or bed linens, as the radiator is located there.
