Neatly renovated 1 bedroom flatlet located on the slopes of Table Mountain in upper Camps Bay, Cape Town. Enjoy awesome views of the ocean, with a guaranteed best seat for Cape Town’s colorful sunsets. You’re a 2min walk from the MyCiti Bus stop, an 8min walk to our closest convenience store (with a small Seattle Coffee Co. inside), a 20min walk down to Camps Bay beachfront, and a 5minute drive to Lions Head, Table Mountain Cable Cars, and the vibrant city center. The space This simple flatlet is the perfect spot for short and long stays with it's private entrance. It has a queen sized bed, plenty of cupboard space, and a spacious shower in the en-suite bathroom with a view. The separate living area consists of a lounge and small kitchen with high ceilings giving the space a bright and open feel, the glass sliding doors open onto a small private patio providing excellent natural light and some breathtaking views. The kitchenette is stocked with all the necessary cutlery and crockery, a microwave, a fridge, a hot plate (portable electric stove top), kettle, toaster and a blender. We also have a coffee plunger. The kitchenette is also stocked with some basics, such as coffee, tea, sugar, salt/pepper, etc. You will find a hairdryer in the top drawer of the bedroom sideboard, and an iron and ironing board, plus a broom (should you need it) in the cupboards. My parents live in the main house. We have a doggy daycare & boarding business in Hout Bay and occasionally a dog or two stay with my parents, so you might have a dog or two on the premises, but we have built the relevant fences/gates to make sure you don’t get a dog in your bed when your doors are open. We all love dogs and are happy to accommodate both you and your dog/s as long as they are well socialized. No dogs that are overly anxious, or aggressive towards people or other pets will be allowed, and all doggy guests must be house trained. You have full use of the garden and the built-in braai/barbeque area, just supply your own coal/wood/fire lighters etc. You will be sharing the garden space with our family and their dogs though - including the most recent addition of our outdoor-loving toddler. The small private patio and outdoor furniture is a peaceful spot and your private refuge to have your morning coffee, or enjoy sundowners with views of the ocean. If you are with us for over a week or longer the flatlet will be cleaned and the bed sheets and towels will be changed once a week - we will chat to you about the time and date for this so that it best suits everyone. Guest access It is self-catering, but we do provide a few basics, it is up to you to prepare your breakfasts and other meals. International plug adapters are available and if you have any emergencies requiring a first aid kit or even a sewing kit please feel free to ask us, we will gladly help any time. You will have fast and free fiber Wifi (20mb download, 10mb upload), a fan for the hot days, a heater for if you're visiting over May-July, and laundry can be done nearby (we can help you organize drop off's and pick up's if needs be). The flatlet will also have beach towels, and a beach umbrella for you to use at all the beautiful beaches you have to choose from (find those in the storage closet). Other things to note The flatlet is clean, safe, and quiet. We live in the attached house, so from time to time you might hear us next door although we will do our best to be considerate and quiet during your stay. Camps Bay Continental is our local mini market and deli. It is about 15mins walk down the hill and has everything you might need as well as a small area to sit and grab a coffee. The Hussar Grill is right above the Continental and is a favorite restaurant among locals. Pick 'n Pay is one of South Africa's biggest and best supermarkets and that is down on the beach front (just 2km drive or walk), along with some of Cape Town's best coffee shops, souvenir stores, restaurants, bars, bicycle rentals, and other attractions.
